Hey, I'm pretty new here and in serious need of advice/opinions.

I used to play 40k a few years ago but got busy with other things and didn't really have the time for it any more. I decided to get back into it a while back but thought I'd go for fantasy this time round and have (over the last 18 months) been gradually acquiring wood elves. I've mainly concentrated on the hobby side of things, with the odd (fairly informal) game but I'm hoping to do more gaming soon.

This is where I need your help! I have a large-ish amount of elves, in varying stages of completion and I'm trying to put together a 2500pt list with them. Unfortunately, I've bought things pretty much as I fancied painting them, so, although I have a wide variety of models, they are not perhaps the ones I would be best using. Also, I'm completely inexperienced so am finding it a little daunting!

To try to make it easier for myself I've made a list of various units with what I have and have had a look at equipment, magic, etc to get a feel for that side of things. I'm hoping if I stick that below people could have a look and give some advice on what I'm best to drop and if I'm going to need to add any models? I'm hoping I'll be able to make a decent list with what I have but it is a fairly random mix!

Anyway, sorry for rambling on (hope you've got this far!) and here's what I have atm and how I was thinking of using/equiping them:

Lords/heros:

spellweaver, lvl 4, lore of life, dispel scroll, wand of wych elm (330)

highborn, bow of loren, arcane bodkins (205)

spellweaver, lvl 3, lore of beasts (215)

noble, bsb, stone of rebirth (120)

branchwraith drycha, cluster of radiants, annoyance of netlings (115)

Core:

30 glade guard, full command, banner of eternal flame (394)

10 glade guard, champion x2 (252)

5 scouts (85)

5 glade riders, musician x2 (258)

10 dryads x2 (120)

9 dryads (108) - branchwraith in here

Special:

28 eternal guard, razor standard (393) - BSB and lvl 3 in here

6 wardancers, champion (122)

10 wild riders, musician, champion (278)

6 treekin (390)

Rare:

6 waywatchers (144)

1 great eagle (50)

1 treeman (285)

Currently coming to around 4000pts so needs some serious pruning!

Initial thoughts are to drop the eternal guard, big block of glade guard, lvl 3 spellweaver and highborn. This leaves me at around 2775 and gives me an army that will (hopefully!) be able to use speed and manoeuvrability to make up for it's lack of strength. But, as I said, I'm pretty new to all this so would love to hear opinions from people who actually know what they're doing! Thanks.

Hey, welcome to the fantasy side.

Woodelves are somewhat underdogs in this edition but have always been nice to play with. They currently have excellent magic items; concerning this, I wouldnt leave home without a hail of doom arrow.
