Aside from the aesthetics that are obviously taken from the source material, it looks pretty much like every other generic MMO out there.
I actually found it pretty funny how they played the epic music at the end, only to cut it in with characters swinging at each other at a pace that could only be described as 'taking turns.'
Low expectations.

Uhh.... The video won't load for me, since I'm on a dodgy wireless signal, but my Google-Fu shows that this isn't an MMO... it's an off line RPG of some kind.
Just sayin'. I'll watch the trailer tomorrow.

Guys its made by Cyanide Studios, the people behind the Bloodbowl video game ( YMMV!)
So do you know what that means? This is going to be a very tabletop inspired game (though pray the AI does not get to cheat )
From IGN: (although apparently they had screenshots from april)
Developed exclusively for PC by Cyanide Studio (Blood Bowl & A Game of Thrones), Confrontation is an incredible real-time strategy game with the classic role playing elements that have made the series popular on a global scale.
The game is set in the fantastic and original universe of Confrontation, Aarklash. As the Age of Rag'narok is approaching, four factions are fighting for their own cause and struggling for domination over the land: the brutal Orcs of the Tree-Spirit, the ferocious Wolfen packs, the fearsome Griffon warriors or the terrifying creatures of the Scorpion.
With a core focus on strategy, Confrontation challenges players to lead a squad of elite soldiers, helping them evolve into a unit that is equal parts brain and brawn. Recruit, develop and equip your squadron and the powerful allies that fight by your side; establish new strategies to destroy your enemies! Careful management of your units, their powers and equipment, as well as clever use of your environment will get you through near-death situations and lead you to epic victory!
So its some type of Strategy RPG

Seriously though, this looks like a very slow-paced version of WoW. Pass...

Saw the trailer yesterday and it looks uninspired as a game.

huh... RPG?
I don't know, I was reminded more of Dawn of War than anything else. Nothing about that screamed classes, only factions.
Plus that would make more sense given how the units were fighting.

I think it looks cool but are we talking a MMO or a basic PC game?

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

It looks like it runs more akin to DoW2. It's not an mmo.
That said, the backgrounds and character movements looked bland.
