Been working on these battlesuits over the past week or so. These are just three of my seven suits I have in my army (2 XV9, 5 XV8). It's my own Sept (No Sept name yet...any suggestions?) colors; Fortress Gray and Chaos Black primary colors, with Blood Red and Boltgun Metal accents. I hope to have these completed in the next week (gotta balance work and my family with the hobby!). Enjoy!

Fairly good, solid pieces. The job is generally fairly clean so they're a very good start! What you'll maybe want to do next is add some highlights to the grey armour to bring it out more. With a Fortress Grey base colour, either pure white or a mix of white and Fortress Grey would make for a good highlighting colour just to make the armour pop. Likewise, adding some highlighting the borders/edges/raised areas on the red parts would again make it stand out more and make it look less 'flat'.
But overall, a it's a good tabletop-level job and a good start!
Any idea how you want to base them?

For basing, I've got some coarse, black sand. I'm going for something like a dead, scorched world. I might drybrush the sand with some white or fortress gray to give it a light coat of ash, and use the ash weathering powder I've got on the models' legs, for an effect like they've been running across the landscape.

Sounds very cool and unique, if you want ash you'd probably want a greyer tone to it rather than white on the drybrush.

I assume that the suit in the middle is a FW suit?
Nice paint job, now just add some washes to give the model some depth.

Yeah, it's an XV9-04. Expensive bugger, but I love the way it looks. Tough model to paint, though...lots of nooks and crannies, weird angles. For a guy used to painting model aircraft, it's definitely quite a shift in painting style.
