Hey guys, WarmaHordes is just starting up in our area and I've been pondering over the Skorne book for days (haven't bought any models yet, so I'm open to suggestion.)

We'll be starting with 15pt lists to be "starter box + a shiny thing" friendly (which is what I'll probably start with as Menoth)
Having said that, here's a 15pt Skorne list I cooked up. Does this look good enough to invest in?

Zaal and Kovaas
1 "Leader and 9 grunts" Immortals unit: 8pts
2x Ancestral Guardians: 6pts total

Which leaves me with 14pts taken (1+5 still spare for warbeasts)
Any tips/suggestions? I'm thinking:
Cyclops Shaman: Due to the ability to hide n' gun with Zaal + end enemy bad things on my dudes. (his awesome "primal magic" kinda goes to waste though)
Cyclops Brute: More damage sponging for Zaal.

The basic strategy is send is hide like a coward and shoot through walls with Zaal's weapon. Let guardians take a beating to spawn Kovaas, or use them both as damage sponges for Zaal, while all the while they have good stuff with the Immortals.

Let me know what y'all think

I strongly encourage you to reread the section on warlocks and Fury; you'll need far more beasts than a single cyclops. Here's a hint: they are the source of fury for your warlock, so you need at LEAST your warlock's FURY stat's worth of beasts to not have to damage yourself each turn. At least a few more points' worth is recommended so that when your beasts start dying, you can still get fury.
