Hunchback's my personal favorite mech, with Crab making a play for number two Great detailing (transfer?) down the autocannon ... but really it's all about that Atlas skull. Massive skull face on a towering kill machine is a vibe for sure.

EDIT: The dreaded rollover!

Finished painting the Blackpowder's Buckaneer's Underworld's set and had a blast with em. The parrot was especially fun to paint, and it's not often I get to do something so vibrant.
Gave the pirate captain a proper hat made from greenstuff and some lizardmen feathers, and also modified his sword into a proper cutlass. I also added a buttstock onto his gun because it looked pretty front-heavy.

Great looking crew, even without the piratical and porcine conversions you've added Loving the little gnoblars as well (the stripes!) and I'mma shout out that knife-monkey on principle.

That’s awesome, the feathers on the Parrot are magnificent… not to mention the great conversions and the knife monkey

Hey all!
I'm falling down a bit of a Horus Heresy pit and decided to start up a Word Bearer's force. I wanted to try something a little different than the standard "another red marine legion" colourscheme, so opted to bring in more of their original legion grey. These were a lot of fun to try and make each legionary unique with different coloured plates and decals.
I used the Age of Darkness mk6 marines, and some 3d printed mk3 and mk4 legs to match the new scale a bit closer (the mk4 lads are particularly chonky). I also used printed paper scripture to add some word-bearer-bling, because the idea of freehanding tiny text would drive me crazy.
Let me know what you think, and I hope to keep going with more historical marines!

I've wondered what you've been up to

Cool high-effort take on the Word Bearers, bit of a crusade / warband feel with all the different armors and personal heraldry. Shout-out to the great molten power weapons too, I was just looking into doing that myself and chickened out

These power weapons are ACE!

What did you do? Actually set them on fire for the photo?

Fantastic looking bunch of zealots! I love the texture you’ve got on their grey armour plates, how did you achieve it?

So much win in this thread! I especially like the ATV and Landspeeder conversions. Do you have a parts list by any chance?

Praise the emperor, bless your weapon and pass the ammo!
