Rohan vs dwarves. Could have autowin but boring way so since drove 120km for tournament let's try fight. However river screwed me a lot. Did get mounted Dain down though(with overkill thanks to tag team). Aragorn without might, fate and 1w left

Got invited over to a friends house where my deathwatch and a friend's ultramarines faced an Ork Goff force lead by Thrakka. We left stratagems out of it, but otherwise introduced them to 8th edition.

In the end, we ran out of marines who could take on Thrakka and he stood alone over a hill of corpses.

Infantry heavy rohan vs moranons. Them wounding twice as often and cavalry charges not being efficient hurt. As did failure to kill either of 2 captains when i got them knocked down with theoden and captain with friends.

First 40k game in about 2 months. Poor ad mech was rolling very bad while i was rolling like god. First turn sag fired 5 s12 shots hitting 4 nuking armiger and that was just a start...

Well, it's a table that's spread out over a 16'x4' playing area, so some of the terrain is a little spaced out!

Like in the most recent game:

My range-focused Outlaws don't mind - more chances for critical hits with their bows and arrows!

Grabbed some minis, and played against my sons. This was the first time my youngest played (he’s autistic). Was about 27 PL, Admech (me), vs. CSM (my eldest) vs. Orks (my youngest). We only got in two turns (ran out of time before dinner), but it took the whole afternoon and we were pretty happy with what we did.

Tactical gambit in casual game vs new player. His 2nd turn card draw literally left for all effects impossible goals for rest of game . I improvised rule that he can swap one card to get new but didn't help. Even with -2vp from too many cards and lots of soft playing like 18-7. Without houserule 18-4.

Mordor vs dwarves. I had mission to kill balin, he had to break my army. Was doing okay at start though reckless use of witch king cost me will and might. When 2 dwarves failed terror test allowing king to move had chance. Balin had went vs orc with captain with bunch of dwarves protecting him from fellbeast charge. I used compel to clear a way. Withjust 2 attacks i had chance to get 8 s6 hits but he rolled 6 winning fight.
With 6-7 priority rolls failed in row and wound rolls failing utterly i was killed but broke his force as well so just 1-0 for dwarves

Played a 2k game of my Marines vs Tau. I had used my Knights against this list before and got tabled pretty quickly, so wasn't sure if the Marines could take on the job.

Turns out it was an absolute slaughter. The Leviathan Dread made short work of his Broadsides and Warlord, got very lucky and only took 3 wounds from a Quad-Fusion Coldstar, which was promptly annihilated by my Hellblasters. Lias dropped a number of characters, and my luck with the objectives resulted in me grabbing 8 points in the first turn for an overall score of 11-6.

Orks vs eldar draw. Comedy reward for 30 grots that with da jump tried 2 turns hunt swooping hawks. Did kill 2 but couldn't get into combat to prevent defend, get own secure and defend

Orks vs blood angels 9-7. Relic sag took out death company dread, vindicator and predator baal. But his librarian took out on his last wound Badruk and 2 smasha guns. Lost one boyz mob by forgetting to bring out of tellyporta. Not that it mattered. Game ended due to time(rookie player so checked rules a lot). Think 5th and 6th would have helped me more as all objectives were in reach and he was spent

My last game was a 1v1v1 with my 30k Iron Warriors (using 8th ed vanilla space marine rules) vs stormtroopers and genestealer cults. I came in second for victory points but easily killed the most out of the three of us.

400 pts rohan and 400 pts dwarves vs 400 pts moria and the 3 trolls that bilbo met. No big troll was even wounded and even cave troll took doing but we slaughtered enough goblins that they broke and game ended. 4 objectives vs 1. Think for a while objectives would have been 3 or 4 to us but had game continued enough that trolls would cause f(rther holes...leftmost was about to fal'. Captaln vs big troll...we might get their base in return.

9-2 score doesn't reflect how close it was

Here's me getting wrecked last weekend playing my Ynnari/Ulthwe list against GSC for the first time. Turns out I have no idea how to screen properly which means all of my lovely reapers get eaten by Kraken genestealers. For a mere 93 points, the double flamer Wraithlord ended up doing a lot of work though...
