I personally think that base is at least an 80mm, it being in the background and still looking absolutely massive doesn't align with a 60mm IMO

Rubbish. You believe every player that doesn't have a Marine army sits in the "never happy" camp. I'm pretty sure claiming an entire swathe of a community (such as all Ork players and all SW players as your previous post) are "never happy" breaks rule one? It certainly doesn't sound polite or respectful. You're also going to have to remind me how your parroting the same "certain aspects [non-Marine players] of this community are never happy" message has anything to do with PA news and rumours?

I like how you think I was implying that about all players and that I was talking about you (don't deny it it's why you're so defensive) for the record I wasn't

Maybe you buy models just to sit on shelves. Others buy to play. Not having even the bloody HQ so you could play games is ridiculous. And looks like it's 2 months(possibly 2.5) after codex that you can actually play.

Issue isn't # of kits they have released. Problem is they have released support stuff before even releasing enough stuff to play game. ATM nobody should start sister army if they didn't have big army to begin with.

Ohh I agree and I'm annoyed about that as well, but someone actually complained awhile back that sisters didn't get eneugh new stuff. it

Well, let's see. With the army relaunch, they got...

-two new unique characters

-A new weapon option for Penitent Engines (flails) and a new variant unit with a couple of stats and abilities shuffled around as a dual-kit (Major brownie points for this one though, it is the first time in my knowledge that GW has had the restraint to make the dual-kits not just total auto-takes over the originals)

-A new variant unit of Seraphim that is a new ability and a weapon swap (again, credit where credit is due, a viable option but not just totally superior to the existing seraphim ala bullgryns/wyverns/Tesla Immortals/etc)

So in terms of new units and options, the sisters army relaunch has a bit less than 1/2 of the content of the primaris Phobos wave 2 stuff, which was 3 new characters and 6 new units. Not counting the named characters for the various chapters that came out with the supplements.

I understand where the complaint is coming from. I definitely do see why GW didn't include more new stuff/options, and I do prefer the kit setups we got for sisters than the alternative - for example, I'd rather have a box with 2x flamers, 2x meltas, 2x storm bolters, 1x heavy bolter and 1x heavy flamer than a box with 1 of all the specials, no heavies ("only retributors get those now sorryyyyy nomodelnorules!") and five or so new options ("You won't BELIEVE this great new melee option for the sister superior!!!1!") It was the biggest relaunch since Necrons and Drukhari and we do know that at least one of those was such a colossal financial flop for GW they stopped doing army relaunches for a full 3 editions.

From a practicality standpoint it makes perfect sense that there'd be relatively few new units. GW wants people buying brand new sisters armies from scratch, they don't want existing sisters players to buy the new stuff and add it on to their existing armies. Because for starters, there's 7 existing sisters players who'd do that. And also, why do that when you can sell a horde army with 10 models for 50$ kits?

Yes PLEASE.

Ghaz is one of the few characters whose size and rules I actually want to see cranked to 11. The size of a daemon prince/dread is just about right.

Ghaz looks huge. As he should be. The power klaw alone is mahoosive. Many of the Ork groups on Facebook have become hotbeds of CSI style investigation into Ghazzy's size. General belief is that he sits on an 80mm base. He's a big boi.

we all know that Wolves are going to get the codex upgrade treatment, so if anyne is shocked about that I will have no words. Phobos units, chaplains (or whatever wolves call them), plus strategems, relics and WTs. I don't think they will get a new character because that's going to be an Ork one, and the GW blurb at the start of this second wave mentioned a new/reimagined/redesigned character for the next 3 books. We got Lazarus (new), Shadowsun (redseigned?) and next is Ghaz (reimagined?). I may be off in the words they chose but it was to that effect.
The thing is, if it's just Orks and SW, that leaves a lot of room for Orks to get a lot of material. Will be interesting to see what they get.

I'm more looking forward to seeing what Deathwatch will get when they get a book. Same with Harlequins.

I liked Seeing the Jaguars - (Aztec Theme Marines - Sign me UP!) the only other place I've ever come across them was in a WD golden demon figure spread - great conversions - and I liked that Chapter Serfs got to fight. Malaki the grot banner bearer looks great, but I dislike ridiculously oversized figures, even Gaz.

Ghaz has been ridiculously oversized in the fluff for ages. It would be nice to have a model to match.

I would actually quite like some rules for Chapter Serfs - much more than ever more slightly different Marine models.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with Ghaz!

Well page count wise sure wolves get good chunk. Of course lion's share of that is copy&paste datasheets they could already use. It's not so much quantity of pages but quality of rules that's of interest.

So...some of Makari's rules got previewed.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/02/19/the-grot-awakening-saga-of-makarigw-homepage-post-1/

Some things of note -

-2+ invulnerable save

-melee attacks deal D3 mortal wounds on a 6+ to wound (but only those wounds on a 6+, so you don't get normal damage in addtion)

- Goff gretchin gets to use Makari's leadership

- Oh, and he's T3 S4 W4 and WS4+ and LD6

That's...not bad for a grot. I really hope this isn't a joke, because a 2+ invul grot shield is hilarious.

Well he hasn't got any shield rule so not much shielding. Presumably he's got some sort of buff for orks or he's just ld6 for grots which isn't enough for opponent to bother attack him for inv save to matter.

Well could be used to tag tanks into melee. With these rules best use so far

I seriously recommend not to use stratagem on him. You can. And then on 2+ he#s slain. He doesn't take wound he can save. He's slain. Even if he has 100 wounds. Dead as a stone.

No. Slain. Just like that. No saves, no fnp's. If killa kans could be used to screen each 2+ would kill 1 kan.
