Do you ever notice the comments section at the bottom of a news page, such as msn articles?

I have noticed a great majority of the comments are people trolling eachother. I gues I never knew how wide spread it could be.

I do find it kind of funny though, every now and then you get a witty comment and then 20 replies of, "OOOHHH, you just got served!".

Then you have the heartless people. Someone is dead and they pull the ol', "serves him right". Sure some may deserve it, but you really need to deserve it. Nothing stupid like a thief or even assault.

I have a feeling I may have released the trolls, but bring it on.

I do like to read the comments at the end of articles. I like to see other perspectives. Usually after two pages, my brain melts.

Of course, I have a feeling some of those people are paid to troll. What a great job that would be! Where do I sign up? Is that how people make $2,000 a week from home?

However, if I was a person who wrote articles, I would NEVER read the comments.

Being paid to troll on-line? Sounds like easy money.

Read an article about a heinous crime. The punishments get worse.
Its goes from
"I think he should get what he dserve"
A page later it is
" I hope he gets flayed and boiled alive for what he did"
So yeah, Its bad.

I disagree. 100% of people are dicks. 90% like to feel superior to everyone else by acting like they aren't dicks. But, that makes them even bigger dicks.

Anyway, I guess this how most of the comments I am referring to start. First few are within reason, and valid conversation for the topic at hand. Then you get the few people who deviate and go OTT.

I do wonder if politics are as bad as the internet though sometimes. If the topic starts out with reasonable opinions then degrades. But I will never know though. Being a politician seems like it would cause my brain to poison itself due to stress..

I notice them, and usually read the first three comments. But after that, I realize how mundane and idiotic they are, and I just go back to the article.

Yeah the yahoo news one are pretty crazy too. I don't see how people can be like that.

Now the comments on cracked.com articles are pretty good, if you can make your way through the spam about dating and nike shoes...
