Like any man, that is a father and owns his own place, I had my very own, recliner. Its one of those badges of office, proof that your are the king of your house, the MAN! I had a lazy boy that Ive owned for years now, it wasnt the prettiest, but it was comfy and it was mine. I bought it off of an old Grandpa type that had, had it for years as well. So being old, and not like wine, it didnt age that well, so over the years Ive had to do repairs and fix it. But yesterday, something vital gave out on it, the whole main support structure broke on me, and the chair basically fell apart. I looked at it for a few hours trying to figure out how I could fix it, because up till now it was just minor things like a screw falling out, or those blasted wood....rivet things braking. So a simple wood screw later, it was fixed.

Not this time, the main support that holds pretty much everything underneath sheered right in two, and no matter how much head scratching and cobbling I tried, it just kept falling apart. So this morning, I watched with a tear in my eye, as the garbage men, tossed my long time companion into the back of their trukk, and krumped it into a million little splinters.












That just means I get to buy a new chair in a few months when we get our taxes back! Im thinking......leather

My domain is a sofa. I should more precisely state I am permitted 2 sq feet of it, sandwiched between 2-3 dogs at any given time.

My condolences KC, however this is now a "what is your comfy spot" thread. We have a broken couch that's tan with a floral pattern (because of all those tan flowers in nature) that has a special indention in each cushion. I'm proud to say that I was integral in breaking one of the legs so we just removed the other three outright.

Be careful what kind of leather you get as it would be annoying to get stuck and peel off of it every damn time you stand.

I have a very comfy sofa but it seems to be the desired sitting ground of the entire family, including both my cats. Which means i rarely get to sit there, i briefly considered booby trapping it but felt it was too much.

And my brother had a couch with your very problem, and oddly enough, once they took the other 3 legs off, it was more comfortable some how...maybe it was just a little to high? I dunno, it was strange though. Kindda like making spaghetti, with elbow noodles instead of spaghetti noodles, changes the whole taste of it.

Its always been a nice comfy sofa for me. I have a black Alcantara corner sofa in my front room and it's disgustingly comfortable. It is rather large however, and as it's just myself and Mrs.Sarpedons in the flat, it can get a little lonely!

But it's great for snuggling up and watching a movie on... The bonus being that we can both lay on it, in comfort, without any of our extremities going numb....

I am not allowed to have a recliner because mrs. Snurl thinks the cats will get caught in it somehow.

It's too big to be an armchair, but too small to be a couch. Regardless, I still love it.

Mine is my chaair right infront of the comp. Noone is allowed to sit there but me.

My comfy zone was the original Television room of the house because most of my childhood had been spent in there watching T.V.(plenty of Toonami) or playing videogames

However, since my mom is now working from home she's starting to pick up on doing renovations. So the beloved wood walls that once gave that comfy 70's look are now becoming bright green with white sills

I have lost a loved one as well, I used to deliver pottery barn crap. We had many many returns from snobby people who didn't understand that leather used to be alive at one point so returned any couch or chair that had a blemish in the leather. At one point we had sooo many returns in our warehouse that you couldn't work in it. All workers including the boss decided to liberate some of the rich people chairs and take them to poor homes. This is what I got for the lo lo price of 50$ including the foot stool ( i had to pay someone with a pickup to drive it to my house)



I lived in this thing for about five years, it was with me through prolly 5 Lbs of weed, morrowind, oblivion, arma, x-3 reunion, and many many more games. One day my friend who is a really large guy named Jimbo came over... now i never let him sit in before because its my chair, you know how it is, but for some reason i let him sit in my baby. When he got up to leave i heard a pop noise and asked him what it was, he claimed he didn't know. Well it was the start of the end of my throne. He had busted the whole bottom part of the chair.

I tried to fix it but just wasn't the same ever again, and then one day my father said i should toss it out as it took up soo much of my room, I like the Dummkopf that I am listened and put it out by the trash. 15 minutes or so went by and i decided to try to fix it one more time seeing as its a $2000 chair that I wouldnt be able to replace anytime soon. So Im walking out the door to garbage pick my own stuff when there is two mexican men loading it into their pickup. Some where there is a Mexican man wondering why his chair smells like a mix of ganja and funk from all the hours logged into it. Sad i know.

Now i sit on a pos couch that i bought for 100$......one day you will be mine again.

This is the Alexa by D'Oro I googled it and I see prices like 999 from Walmart.com: bs. The catalogue I have is selling it for 469. If you know anyone that is a DirectBuy member or can find it for that price it'd be a steal...and you can die in it.

My comfy spot would be my computer chair. Its quite comfy but its getting old and doesnt go up and down properly anymore so is in need of replacement. It still reclines quite nicely though.

Anywho, my old comfy spot was the corner of our old settee, or one of the chairs from the suite. It was torn and ripped thanks to my brother jumping about on it and then picking at the fraying parts, but it was still comfortable when curled up with a book and a cuppa.

Unfortunately when the parent's divorce came through, the house had to be sold, my dad and my brother went their own way, I stayed with my mum at her new house (she'd been living apart for just over 1.5 years). The old suite was obliterated.

Get a Gigerchair!

Standard issue dorm room chair for me. Sitting in it is like sitting on a soft stool with a back that won't sit still.

I've been thinking of getting one of these chairs.




Does anyone have one? If so can you tell me if they are any good? They look kinda comfy but im not quite sure.

My comfy spot is my big couch in my basement. The thing is so comfortable that it's actually hard to get out of it. It's what's kept me playing my Playstation 3 for so long - the basement is where our big screen HD TV is, and my computer is nowhere near it. As I'm more of a PC gamer, and use it to keep in touch with friends while gaming, it was a hard choice - either play the console on my crappy little TV in my room, or play it on the big screen away from my friends. The couch helped me make that decision.

I, personally, am a recliner guy. Most comfortable position is sitting with my legs propped up, chair leaned way back. Even when I sit on my couch playing PS3, I'm usually laying on my side, propped up by my elbow to stay comfy.

My office chair at my computer. I dropped £70 as a splurge. BEST DECISION EVER.

I WANT TO BE BURIED IN THAT CHAIR.

Yea Ill be doing that during tax season as well. Its weird, seems like every tax season has a dedicated item we end up spending half of it on, and this year its furniture. New couch, new chair new desk chair. The one I have currently, is easily the most uncomfortable thing youd ever put your ass on. Im not kidding, its BARELY a step above a rock, and that Im not too sure, because I have sat on a pretty comfy rock before
