Hey all, just sharing some of my 3ds Max models, this one's of the Forge World Space Marine Air Defense Command Platform (kind of a mouthful I know). More 40k related models shall come, if anyone has any requests of 40k models being done in 3ds Max feel free to PM me or simply leave a comment. As always C&C is welcome.

That is very well done. How long did it take you to make? Did you use any refrence while making it?

@Toastedandy: Thanks, I just used the images of the Forge World model on their site. As for time to make it I would say about 3 class periods, I'm in a CAD 2 class at my high school.
@GaussGuy: Yes for the most part.

Is the offer to create models still open? This is awesome. Im hailing from the Dawn of War 2: Codex Edition mod community. Perhaps you could whip us up a few things?

The offer is still open, although I probably won't be able to give you the model file, just the rendered images of the piece. What did you have in mind?

Pm sent. We will need the model file since we'll be adding it to the PC game Dawn of War 2: Retribution. File wise .obj would be perfect. Can you texture aswell?

I may or may not be able to convert the files to .obj, but I can check for sure. Give me a list of features in the texturing, or a general reference picture on how you want the model to be textured and I'll try my best to match it.

3ds Max should be able to export models in .obj.

Isn't there a way to use this file to make a miniature? I remember seeing 3D models used by Zealot Miniatures to produce physical miniatures.

There is, through a 3d printer which extrudes small layers of ABS plastic to build up the model level by level, but right now it is far too costly and not yet detailed enough to be rendered useful.
