It's been about a year since our last Dakka Painting Challenge, but we're back with a fun new theme and easily the largest kitty of prizes we've ever offered for our winners (that's right, we're giving out prizes to 2nd and 3rd place too this time!).

If you've ever thought about participating in a Dakka Painting Challenge but found a reason not to do it, this is the one to get your brushes out and go for it!

So what's the theme this go-around?

It's Welcome to Thunderdome!

...which is basically the classic duel. Paint up two models (of any type) facing off against each other in a struggle to the death.

For all the rules and details, check out the main thread in the Painting and Modeling forum.

Big thanks to miniwargaming.com for sponsoring this challenge this time, and to Dakka user inquisitorlewis for doing all the legwork of collecting and posting the entries for voting!

Good luck everyone!

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
