Dammit, I fly into St. Louis Friday the 3rd, but I have to work all day Saturday the 4th in Warrenton. MM, you kill me Of course, with a big truck, it might be hard to find decent parking anyway, but the soonest I could even get there Saturday would have been like 6pm. Add a tight schedule to drive to Phoenix, AZ by Monday night, and we've got a dilemma
|
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

You'd be suprised how many overweight guys with atypical haircuts carrying minis there are at an average gaming event. Now, if you were the guy with runway model good looks carrying a large bagette... that would be easy to find! Hope it goes well in either case.

@timetowaste
It runs until 8pm. If the crowds good and I've still got stuff to sell, I'll be there.
The place where this store is could probably accommodate a large truck, if you don't mind parking in the back of the parking lot (presuming you mean a semi).
@Warboss
LOL Understandably so.
I'll be the one who (a) you can tell bathes regularly and (b) has a 13 year old daughter behind the table with him.
Heck, walk in the place an hollar "Yo! Eric!" I'll answer in kind. I'm not shy. : )

How far is it from warrenton, if you know off the top of your head. If not, I can google it. And I'll be driving a winnebago. So quite large, but not quite a semi. If it's open late, I'll try to make it-real tight schedule, so I can't promise anything. Any OOP space marine models there?

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Actually, it's a pretty hefty trek, I think. I can't give you time/mileage. I don't know it... but I'd imagine it's not any small amount.
As it turns out, I've got a fully painted RT OOP army. Forty nine infantry models (28 are metal), painted in a Space Wolf scheme, and I'll have 5 RT Scouts (the current equivalent is jump packers in power armor) that belong to a buddy. I don't recognize the army paint scheme, but they look good.

It's an 8 hour "Bazaar" (gaming flea market) at one of the local shops. I haven't been to one at their place, but they've always been a blast in the past. I don't know if there are any openings, but they've got room for up to 16 tables (roughly 3x6).

The shop has a very nice sized gaming are and the staff are great. My only complaint is that they charge full retail. In this day and age, it's very difficult to support a shop that does not price competitively, especially in an area with two stores that offer 20% off.
Fortunately, they are nowhere near local to me, so I don't have a huge conundrum. I buy a little bit on those rare occasions that I'm there, but don't have to weigh cost vs. loyalty.

Wouldn't be much of a bazaar if I wasn't, now. Would it?
Keep in mind, though, that I'm not the STORE... just a seller.
About the only stuff that's not going to see a huge discount is the stuff that you can't just go pick up... the LE and OOP stuff, the Skullz Iwo Jima display... the good stuff.
Anything I've got that's "normal" is going to start at 20 to 25% off and just get better from there. : )

LOL
Sorry. Didn't see the question in time.
This was the first I ever went to there, so I didn't know what to expect. There was a shop in St. Louis that used to hold a few a year that were HUGE. This one was... not.
There were 16 spaces available. All were taken. Two of those sellers, however, never showed.
Traffic was sporadic, at best, and I never had more than 2 people (unless they were together as part of a group) at my table at a time, and I had 2 3x6 tables so full of stuff that I was displaying on the floor and had my foam "Battle Boards" set up to the sides of my table.
I was offering good deals all day and, as they day went on, they just got better. If you didn't go, you missed some great stuff all 'round (not just mine).
I pulled in almost $400 (about half for me and half for friends I was selling on behalf of), so it was a good day, all told!
And, of course, I spent a few, including getting a GREAT deal on a well painted old lead Star Wars "Rancor Monster" for $10 and a trade with another vendor for 40 well painted modern(ish) models that I liked so much I had to get.
Now, just to find or make a quick & easy game system to use 'em with. LOL
