Let me right off the bat state that items were traded and received on both sides, so this is not a 'I got robbed' type Transaction Report. However, I did not receive the items that were advertised.

We had agreed on a trade of some random Vostroyans and Vahallans for Forgeworld plaguemarines. I shipped the weekend after the trade was agreed upon, as I usually do. I PM'ed a tracking number, as usual, once I had shipped my items. I asked for tracking once he shipped at that point. He did PM me with tracking, so everything seemed fine. When the items arrived, however, what I received was 5 poorly coated metal GW plaguemarines and some random plastic converted model. Obviously, this is not close to what was advertised, as there is a big difference between FW and GW minis, and trade items reflect this in value, among other things. I PM'ed him and did receive a reply stating that he did ship FW models. I said, they most certainly were not and sent links to the respective miniatures webpages emphasize what I expected an what I received. As a response I received an apology, no further effort to make the situation right.

Now, after closer review of his profile, he is a younger member, and this was somewhat obvious in our discussions, so it is possible this was simple naïveté, and not malicious. Honestly, I'm not out for blood and I don't want anything other than to warn others that if you choose to deal with this person, that you get pictures of the items you are trading so you are sure of what you are receiving, in case he is as clueless as to what he is offering as he was in my case.

Warning From Magnus? Not Listening!

As a general rule of thumb, I always ask for pics of things, even if they're NIB/NOS. This request actually saved me from being scammed by someone, who eventually had about 5-7 TR's opened against them. When they didn't respond with pics, I completely forgot about the deal. About a week goes by, and then the TR's started.

At any rate, I hope you and Caesar3594 can come an eventual mutual agreement you're both happy with. I'd suggest a possible "trade back", so there're no sorry feelings from anyone, but that's just my opinion on fixing it.

Good luck!

Yeah, lesson learned there. I'm no going to bother with a trade back. It's honestly not worth the cost of shipping to get model back I wanted to get rid of in the first place. If his was a trade for a significant amount it would be a different story, but I'm just not going to raise hell over a handful of models.

I missed this earlier- sorry to hear the items weren't as advertised. Will add it as "Unresolved" to the TR list, unless the other user makes some effort to account for the error...

Thanks. If you want the PMs of our trade arrangement or anything like that, just let me know!
