Sorry. Had a moment. Liking the white Tau suit. It feels somewhere between a stromtrooper and a Gundam.

Thanks folks.

@ Theo, Yup cleaner works a treat.
@ Syro, Daughter is still working on it.
@ Vik, yup matchbox cars. And no idea what he plays, varies a lot, but often ends with yelling.....him at the screen and then me at him.
@Gits, oh yeah, must be up about 10 hours of work all ready, stripping all sorts, cleaning stuff up, does make a slightly annoying buzzing noise though.
@ Youwashock, Resist bud, try!! And yeah, he chose the scheme, think it is close to the one GW have on the boxes, but I am not sticking to anything set in stone.
@ Ezki, Thanks bud, well look below, but still WIP bud.
@ Graven, Oh yeah bud, but I would not worry too much, unless someone shouts me these will be coming your way anyways.

So bit more done....WIP still

Love this golden oldie...well Chrysler I think...

So making a mold, to make some terrain pieces for the Gaslands thing, I guess terrain is not a big element, but a few lumps about the map will surely make it more interesting.

And after a lick of paint...

And the original was minus an interior so made one...

And while I was messing about, I had this old wooden box someone gave me ages ago, it had a bunch of metal casting molds, and metal and a few bits...

If anyone has use for the little tanks shout me.

And had to have a go with resin in the metal rubber molds...

Going to play a bit more, but not really getting much time at any of this at the moment.

Well thank you folks, really appreciate everything.

LOL....exactly my own reaction...every bloody time... canĀ“t remember ever getting so wound up due to a game in my whole life in comparison...

i am reviewing your endeavours over these last couple of years....and it is not your awesome learning curve or your prowess in so many fields...it is the fearlessness in which you tackle new stuff...i think this is the most important lesson we all can and should learn and appreciate in this thread!
And the original was minus an interior so made one...
this literally sums it all up in one small sentence!

Hubba-wah?

Actually it's a really big part of the game! Race gates, obstacles, crash barriers, sentry turrets... It's televised murder death arena race, after all!

I only know itā€™s Fortnite for my son because he keeps asking to buy (fake money in that game), and me walking by on my way to my paint desk and seeing his guy running around in a bush .

Thatā€™s a great car to use for molding , terrain does play a great deal in the game, though itā€™s seen kind of like the asteroids in X-Wing, visible but unless your a terrain person it can just be chits.

when i did, it was in the army and we played together, side by side...shoving and pushing while pressing buttons.... you yelled at the one at your side...this was more to the point... i mean even tho the have expensive headsets to yell at each others it is like they still yell at the screen only...
also...the have headsets so they can talk around the world while playing...but never use the phones they own for their true intended purpose...voicemails....argh... the youth....:shakes fists:

Camkierhi,

The Roman terrain is very...well white. I think there were be a little natural weathering or plant growth to add some green. Just a suggestion.

Cheers,

Your skills a an ork big mek transfer nicely into crafting those cars for Gaslands, they looks very cool and well crafted. I also really like all the 10mm Roman terrain. Do you have a grass coloured board to pose it all on?

Great job on the rusty cars.

Nice work on the terrain. I can't think of anything to add, but I'm no Roman expert.

How hard is making the cast for the cars? I would like to try it with some city/castle walls for Warmaster. Make a section about 65mm long, and about 30mm deep.

Can you re-use the mold? I'd need to cast multiple instances of the wall to make it usable for play.

I have a reasonable idea for how to orient the wall, but a gate section might be more complicated than it's worth (to start with anyways).

Yeay gods been a while.

First sorry for delay.

@ Vik yup most of it was GSW (greenstuff world) rolling pin, cannot recommend them enough.
@ Maniac_nmt, Highly recommend molding and casting it is great fun, and not too expensive if you are wise. I mostly do single part molds, though I have had a fair bit of success with two part molds. I could look at making you a couple molds if you like.

OK I quite literally have done nothing for weeks. Just managed to sit down today at 2pm.

So for this blog, here is me starting in on my entry for the latest LoER comp. been running for some time and ends at the end of this month, but that aint no biggy for me, if I stick to my guns.

Once more unto the breach...

Nice work on the Latifundum. However, a stretch of the Rhine in lieu of Hadrian's Wall might look nicer. Y'all know the Rhine, That nice body of water intended to keep the French out of Germany
