REALLY nicely painted alternate DAs!

Are you using an airbrush to achieve these stunning effects?

Hi mate it's a combo between airbrush and wet blending..! as the tip of my airbrush isn't really that fine think it's a 0.4 but i know people who go dwn to a 0.2 and 0.1 .. thanks for the comment..!

O.k, you need to stop right now!........ have you stopped yet?

no? well, you need to to! and then you need to start collecting an army and play a game or two! everything you lay your hand on turns out well (unless you're only showing us the good stuff!.... cheeky!) and while I love seeing every single mini you do, I'd also like to see how you tackle a force! seeing the two alternate DA makes me ache for a shot of a large group of space age soldiers painted the only way you can do it, beautifully! ;-)

Beautiful work bullyboy. I love the way the somewhat inverted highlighting looks on the armor and the shading on your blades is more subtle than most people's. When combined with the exquisite work on the heads & the overall effect is fantastic!

Mate your only one of a few people who as understood what i'm trying to achieve with my painting style..while i appreciate hard edge highlights i think suttle highlights sometimes shows the model off better and yes i do try to achieve a very good level on the heads as i think they are what draw you to any model.. Thanks man for your comment

Fantastic work. Definitely a 'less is more' quality to it. I find models with less 'stuff' cluttering them to be the harder models to actually get to look good. The color transitions on the armor are absolutely fantastic.

One question: how did you build the power swords? Neither one look like a stock model, but the way each model is grasping the hilt makes it appear stock. If it is a conversion, it is expertly done.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Hi mate, it's a mix between wet blending and airbrushing..and making sure your paints are thinned out enough.. thanks for the question

I think that would help because I really cant fathom how many passes you do for each individual part, your work is really really great. I'd love to have the ability to do a fraction of that kind of shading.

These are incredible. I really prefer the dark green to the bone white. Awesome shading, and they are definitely still dark angels.
