You've made a mistake from inception, because you've conflated economic problems with corruption.
Not all economic problems are due to corruption. Some are due to ineptitude, some to entitlement mentality, some to groupthink, some to sheer stupidity and irresponsibility.
It'd be nice to go have a kangaroo court hang Lloyd Blankfein, but ultimately a lot of people bought houses they couldn't afford on the assumptions that assets double in value every 7 years.
