Ok staring my first blog ever wish me good luck
I have painted a bit of GW 40k models but now going for a more realistic game, why not Finns when I am half a one
I don't know yet how to play them but I purchased some models I just like.
I got a great deal with models for 2000-2500pts, planing to by some more Sturmi's.
I found one Ju 88 from a company overseas but when I painted it yesterday, something is not right, help on that one please?

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

First comment from a finn
I especially enjoyed the tanks, because of the realistic weathering you gave them.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

Looks good! I would be hesitant about the swastikas on the plane though, I personally have nothing wrong with it since it's for historical accuracy but others might. If I were you I would stick with just symbols of the German Army.
Edit: just realised those are Fins not Germans. That plane still looks like it has swastikas on it though. Still, great job.

The Finns actually had swastikas on the planes, they had them before the nazis as a symbol of luck to there air force.
I try to be as accurate as possible, I don't have a problem with the symbol and those that do have just a bad conscience
Going to pick up on the painting tomorrow, will be more pictures!!!

Wow, some beautiful work! I love the detail you have put into the Sturmis.
Not sure what you mean about needing 'help' with the Junkers, to me it looks fine! Perhaps a little weathering to make it look less clean? Otherwise its a lovely looking model, and nice to see someone making an effort with the aircraft (so often, it is the one area that FoW players don't try with)

Nice stuff. I personally think your vegetation needs a little more diversity of colors to make it look realistic and the Ju-88 could use a black wash to tone down the green.

Now that you say it, It could need some more colour to the bushes, but not much, only maybe 1 to 10 part greenish or less. I am trying to get a bit of spring feeling and the northern Morass is quite without colour right before all the flowers pop.
Yeah the JU 88 is a bit green on photo, I have thought of the black wash thing myself but I am unsure if that's the way to go.
Thanks on the comment! nice to hear some diversity, never thought at the vegetation before.
We'll see when I can get some time before I can paint again, this moving stuff thing takes all my free time.

Now! I am now in my new apartment and have set up my workstation again, so now this week I can begin to update my Jääkäri again.
I found some Tamiya Me 262 and Me 163 in 1:100 scale that I am going to start using as objectives.

Really nice looking minis you have all the weathering and bases, just purely awesome!
