Please, read the whole ad. I lay out exactly what I expect of you and what you can expect from me.
[Edit #2] Apparently, one or more people are feeling chafed by the tone of this thread. Note that I'm laying out everything in plain, detailed terms so that there is no confusion between us. In this way, you know exactly what I will expect of you and what you can expect from me. My trade history on the sites mentioned below will prove that a trade with me is a positive experience. I work my butt off to make it the best it can be.[/Edit #2]
Okay, folks. I've got a bonus coming in from work in a few days, and I'm looking at buying a new 40K army.
I've got some specific requirements, though. They are:
FULLY PAINTED ONLY.
-If any part of the army is not completely painted, I have zero interest. Seriously. I don't care how good a deal it is. Unless you're throwing in the unpainted/incomplete stuff for FREE, don't even bother PMing me. Thus, "FULLY painted."
-The army must look nice. I'm not looking for some blobbed-paint army that you just wanted to meet tournament painting requirements with. I want shading, highlights, basing, etc. It doesn't have to be award winning, but it's got to look decent. "Decent" does NOT equal "good enough."
-I am ONLY interested in the following armies (in order of preference):
[edit] I'm getting a number of offers for armies not listed below. Seriously, folks... I'm not going to change my mind on that.[/edit]
*Traitor Imperial Guard (these must be fully traitor looking and contain a decent mix of tanks, infantry and various miscellany)
*Necrons (Don't bother if yours is the "all metal" first iteration of Necrons. I'm looking for the newer and newest sculpt models)
*Eldar (must have plenty of vehicles - not foot slogging only)
--Please, only send armies that can make full, reasonably balanced lists, not the left-overs from a previous sale that "only needs [me] to add [this-or-that] to make it an army/competetive, etc."
(Can you tell I've tried this before? LOL)
If you've got something you want to get rid of, please PM me here and include the following
1) The price you want in US$. If you don't give me a price, I will offer you $1 at the most, if I even make an offer. When you act shocked, I will quote this ad back to you. LOL
2) A complete list of models and their armament.
3) Good, clear pictures or a link to them. No blurry close-ups or shots from 4 feet away. I'm not looking for pics that verify quantity. I'm looking for pics that verify quality. If I can't see details, I'm not interested. Don't even bother.
4) Any included miscellaneous items (themed dice, transport trays/cases, codex, free half-painted or unpainted models, etc.)
**I want to know EXACTLY what you're offering me for the price you want. I don't want any surprises.**
To be fair to you, I have the following expectations from every trade, and I hold myself to them, as well:
I've got numerous positive transactions here and am highly rated on ebay and Bartertown; all under "MagickalMemories." I've proven my honesty and reputation with hundreds of trades, sales and purchases. If you cannot produce enough transaction history here and on Bartertown (I'll only pay attention to Ebay references where you are marked as the Seller), I will expect you to ship first. Typically, the one with the less proven reputation ships/pays first, but I am willing to make an exception if you are highly established.
If the items don't arrive as promised, I will expect you to do the honorable thing. This could range from lowering your price to just having the items shipped back to you. I don't mind gluing a few UNGLUED arms, etc. back on, but I'm not looking for anything broken. If you can't take the time to properly pack the models you're sending me, then don't bother. If they arrive too broken to fix (my determination), I'll expect you to pay shipping costs to have them returned to you. There is, after all, no reason *I* should be out money for models I won't be buying when their broken state is not my fault. If you send the models uninsured, you accept responsibility for what the shipping company/postal service does to them.
I will not be storing the funds for this in my PayPal account. When we come to a deal, I will send PayPal the request to transfer funds from my bank to my PayPal.
If I am paying first, you can expect that I will have the funds to you as soon as they are transferred to my PayPal account - the same day.
If you are sending first, I will start the PayPal transfer (from my bank to my PayPal) on the day you send me the Delivery Confirmation number (or other shipping proof). I will send you the money as soon as the models arrive and I inventory them, or the day that PayPal completes the transfer; whichever comes second (I can't send you the money if PayPal hasn't given it to me).
If you are sending first, and PayPal allows it, I will send your money so that no fees are removed from it. I'm not certain if PayPal doesn't allow certain accounts or International Transactions to receive fee-free payments. If you CAN get it sans fees, though, you WILL. I will not "eat" the fee myself, otherwise, though.
If you've made it this far, thanks for reading it all. I know there's a lot of specific details there, but this will make it the best, easiest, safest trade possible for both of us.
Eric
