Fenris games just released a preorder for some really cool space ship corridor modular kits.

http://www.fenrisgames.com/news.html

Cool stuff!

We’re almost done with mastering the starter-set of our long-threatened SF floorplans, designed to match our popular Sulaco base range. 53 pieces of fully-detailed resin weighing in at a hefty 2.5 kilos, enough to cover a whole tabletop in corridors and rooms with which to fight all those boarding actions and bug hunts we all enjoy so much.

All pieces will be available in smaller sets but this starter set offers a substantial discount on the individual prices. For a very limited time while we finish the last couple of rooms and produce all the moulds, the starter set is available at a pre-order price of £100 + postage; a saving of almost 30% on the final price for all the tiles bought separately.

More rooms, junctions, bulkheads, doors and objective markers to follow shortly; walls, stairs and multi-level pieces later in the year.

SULACO FLOOR TILES - PRE-ORDER DEAL - 3rd March 2012

53 pieces, 2.5 kilos of resin. Fully detailed 40mm grid floorplans matching our Sulaco base range, suitable for any number of SF or near-future gaming setups.

Starter set contents:

6 - unique 3 x 3 rooms
7 - crossroad junctions
6 - right angle junctions
8 - T junctions
4 - 5 x 1 corridors
4 - 4 x 1 corridors
6 - 3 x 1 corridors
2 - 2 x 1 corridors
5 - 1 x 1 corridors
5 - 1 x 1 endcaps

Well since I many times buy Fenris stuff I know that the casting is always SUPERB and prices always Super cheap for what you get... Im quite exited with this!

Ian at Fenis produces some of the best cast resin around, I have no doubt this will be excellent quality. Unfortunately I don't play Space Hulk but if I did I would be buying this !

Exactly, once I ordered some bases and with them I received one big base with lots of details I emailed him just to see if it was a mistake... well it turns out it was gift included since he said sometimes miscasts happen and he doesn't trow them away but offers them to clients instead... the thing is I looked at it for a LOOOOOONG time and still have not managed to see where is the miscast since its perfect, Mind I'm extremely picky with these things

This deal got even better now:

They're produced with cast-in sockets to take 3mm magnets for those who want to have snap-together sets.

Magnetised corridors with already cut in sockets, Brilliant!

The magnet sockets are a brilliant idea ! Now I'm wondering how I can use all this for Infinity !

For infinity you can make really intricate modular interiors specially when the walls are out, I intend to get involved with this. Going to use mine for Spacehulk and most importantly to built a nice set for my 15mm's scifi adventures!

Fenris were the first 3rd party bits I ever ordered, all the bases on my space hulk project are from their Sulaco range, love them. Very restrained and non-cartoony, lots of very fine detail. There were a few bases with mold still stuck in them on account of all that fine detail, but a small thing compared to the overall quality.

They are undoubtedly good quality. I would really love to get hold of a proper 3D Space Hulk set - the only thing that would concern me would be that £100 or so is a lot to pay for board tiles that can only be used for one particular game - how much can one play Space Hulk to get the value? I guess you need to be a real fan! Also, it would probably take me decades to get them painted!

It's a shame no-one sells pre-painted, cheap space corridors!

Just remember, you can use these with the Zone Mortalis rules from Forgeworld. 100 BPS to cover a table is a lot more reasonable than 90 BPS to cover a 2x2 foot area!

I just wish that I didn't have to pay the exchange rate and shipping from the UK for these.

Very nice!

And it was also very nice to meet you at Adepticon near the Crystal Brush display.

Your work here is great but the stuff you never talk about (both personal and for Infinity and other games) is also amazing!

I always look forward to updates from you!

Oh my, these are quite nice indeed. If I had any use for my Space Hulk set at all, I'd consider buying them.

Wow, Navarro- I wonder why someone would want to impersonate you . So weird!

The tiles are great work... are the "tentacles" and greenstuff work yours, but not the tiles themselves... or is it all your work?

Edit: Maybe it was an innocent mix-up, as you say someone with the same name...

Portugal actually. Difficult to distinguish when you come from Canada, right?

I can see how you'd jump to that conclusion, seeing as I wasn't terribly clear that the guy I talked to said he was in Spain, I think.

Coincidentally, my ancestors emigrated to America from Portugal - cool, eh?

Lol, I did say portuguese (as I am half Spanish, despite being Canadian, I know the difference)

We also talked to him about his Nids and our conversations on Dakka lol.... so really I can't say it was completely our fault. His English seemed good enough to avoid confusion of this nature, and we did introduce ourselves asking 'Are you Navarro from Dakka?' lol.

Back OT, I still love Fenris stuff

Just the tentacles the corridors are from Geronimo from fenris games.

And that is what I find bizarre why on this earth would someone talk about my stuff and dakka chats like he was me? Completly nuts, ridiculous!

Nah, I am pretty sure it wasn't malicious or anything, in all likelihood he simply misunderstood the questions. If anyone was going to impersonate you, you could do a lot worse lol! He was very nice, a consumate sculptor and did not look like a squeegie kid. That's a win bud, that's a win.

http://crystalbrush.coolminiornot.com/cbartwork/index/id/161

This was his piece, beautiful sculpting.
Name was Juan Navarro Perez, and a quick google search reveals he is one of Infinity's main sculptors, as well as Anima and Kabuki... sooooooo.... ya... not a bad impersonator to have at all! lol

Well, that's one mystery solved

But back to the OP (or rather, your subsequent posts after it). Are the tiles that you've greenstuffed up going to be cast and sold, or just the base sets? I couldn't quite figure that out from the text...

Also noticed that Fenris Games does laser cutting from .dwg files... I may end up contacting them about cutting some items, depending on what their prices are.

There will be 2 versions of the space corridors for you to buy... one normal without the alien things and one totally infested... on the works there is walls, doors etc all kinds of goodies for you to personalize your own space ship.

It's one of the reasons I've made all of the tiles available in small sets, to suit smaller budgets....There'll also be another pre-order deal for all of the Sulaco:Hive infested tiles once they're done, which will make a full set that bit more affordable....
