Right, as Armies on Parade was announced recently and I thought to myself "This would be a good time to start collecting a new, and just for fun, army while also entering". In response to myself I got straight on the tinterweb and went through near enough every 40k product on GW's website (I swear there was a guy on the other end just making stuff up to keep up with me). After all of that I decided that the most enjoyable army I could make would be one with real character, so I've chosen to do an entire Death Company Parade.

I think I'm corrected in saying that the board must contain an army with at least 2 units and a general, however it does not need to be gaming legal; meaning the possiblilities are near endless.

As this is the case, so far I have come up with a "rough" list of what I want to include on my little 2X2 board, it is as follows;

- A Captain decked in Death Company styled gear with a jump pack

- 2 squads of Death Company with jump packs (size of squads is unknown at this point, however I'm thinking large)

- Another Death Company without the jump packing (ditto on size)

- 2 Death Company Dreadnoughts

- 2 Death company styled Drop Pods

As for the style of the board itself, that is style very much in the thought process. However all my progress will be posted on here as and when it starts.

So after boring you to Death I'd like to know what you all think; although it is not much to go on?

Thanks for reading and hope to talk to a few of you about it and my progress soon.

And building has now started. When down to my LGS earlier on today to discuss my ideas for my board; coming up with the idea of using Captain Tycho (Death Company version) during the third battle of Armageddon as the main focus. Thoughts?

Here are the first 5 guys

Another 5 being built as I'm typing this

And 2 more boxes yet to be opened (excuse the bedding)

With all that now in mind, what do you all think so far? I'm also thinking of including quite a few conversion on the board as well; such as the Tycho one as I feel the GW model is a bit dated. Thoughts?
Finally, I was wondering if anyone can find some further information on Tycho and his 3rd company during the 3rd battle for Armageddon as I can't seem to locate any; even the smallest being will help?

Thank for reading, more on its way!

No Astaroth or Lemartes? Other than that, can't wait to see more.

@Swordwind; correct, no Astaroth or Lemartes present as (a) It does not need to be a game-legal army, and (b) I'm wanting to try and go for the battle of Armageddon themed army. However if it were to ever be used for gaming, then I would probably include Astaroth and/or Lemartes.

Quick update on the Death Company project. I have had a very slow weekend in putting together the Death Company as the Miss'es came down to visit so all was on hold, however in the past day or so I have managed to put together about 15 more Death Company.

This is all that is built so far.

Comments welcome.

Now regarding the third war of Armageddon; anyone know where I could gain some further back-story on Tycho and his entire company (i.e. size and composition of company)? Also was thinking of getting another model for the project tomorrow, but what would you like to see; Death Company Dreadnought or begin a Tycho conversion?

Thanks for reading, Beasty

P.s. Picture quality will be better once I go home from university
