Hey everyone! Finally getting around to painting my kommandos and I'm going for a sort of blood axe look. GW used to have a really nice guide on their site about painting camo markings onto Ork skin, but having checked just now it looks like the guide is gone (along with most of their other Ork guides :/). Does anyone know if I can find this guide anywhere anymore? Or if not, can someone point me in the direction to a guide that would help me get a similar effect? Thanks!

Hi. I paint blood axes & finding a decent camo tutorial was hard work.

Its worth wading through some imperial guard tutorials to get ideas - but you want to make the designs a little more 'crude' to get the orky feeling. I'll bob some pictures up with what I've done a wee bit later.

They took them all down because of the new paint range. I'm guessing there will be new guides once the new paint officially goes on sale.

Dont hold out for them. Rumour is all the guides will now bein WD and in the new painting guide book / DVD. So no guides on the website anymore. Thats what i was told instore.

Yeah heard the same thing. Basically GW have realised that buying white dwarf is not advantageous as pretty much everything in it is also on the website. Which is understandable really, just slightly annoying!
