Human Auxiliary to the Empire

Hello folks, new guy here. I haven't played any games yet, or even bought miniatures. But after my next codex comes in (Dark Eldar) I'll be running three lists by you folks (IG, Tau, and DE) to get some help on deciding which army I want to play first. I don't want to play competitively, I want to play for fun, so when I do throw my lists up, I'm not looking for tournament winning designs, but fun ones that are at least capable of staying on the field until turn three. Haha.

Um...

What else...

Well, I plan on getting into Battlefleet Gothic as well. I want to set up a campaign with a few people around here where there is a map of a few star systems built into it, and first fleet battles take place, and the winner gets to choose his/her side of the board and who goes first. The goal is eradication of your opponents from the star systems. I'll probably work out something involving shipyards, and planets/systems providing resources to build more ships and ground units. Kinda like how you can do in RISK when you own enough territories.

Though I'm probably getting ahead of myself, as the massive amount of rules in 40k has me overwhelmed without trying to learn anything else...
