Hey! Nice work there, and welcome to the hobby!! Hope you have a great time. You might end up sticking around for 20+ years like me

I like your paint scheme. They look like Scythes of the Emperor. If I'm going to offer a bit of critique, it would be to slow down just a bit, and apply that yellow a bit more carefully. Something that may help - try putting down a layer of brown or something underneath the yellow first. It looks like you may be applying it directly over the black, which is really time consuming and doesn't yield optimal results.

Great work! I hope you kill many, many filthy aliens with these marines!

Yeah, Recentley ive been applying white before the gold or yellow and i have found that helps. The dreadnought looks REALLY messy on purpose, ill post another comment with their storie!

So basically the story behind these guys they, are infact, not real space marines! They were a group of men that were not fit or brave enough to join the space marines, so they had a spy on the inside, so when the spacemarines went to a battle the spie would tell these guys and theyed turn up dressed in normal clothes with a gun and fight! Now this is were the armor comes in! One soldier... Proteus enda mal, started to collect space marines helmets and armour for souvenirs. One day when the normal men turnt up to fight,Proteus enda mal, was there with a "patchwork" of different chapters armour and thus all the other men started to collect armour and spray painting thme black and yellow as a "joke" but in the end it ended up sticking with them!

It has potential. Make them SM that were cast out from their chapter after a debacle between the First Captain and the Chapter Master, but they repented afterwords and now follow their chapter, showing up in battle when they are needed most

Yup guys i reckon its gunna be scythes of the emperor. I love the way they are now "wanderes" because, if i recall, there home planet was destroyed! Anyway i proparly wont repaint these just add some more detail or sumin, but on my B-Day (April 9th) I will be reciving LOTS of WH40K SM Kits! So thats when my scythes of the emperor will actually start!

A tip for the red on the banner - its kind of streaky at the moment. If you want to paint over white with red, use a few thin coats rather than one thick one - that way you can get a more even coverage, and you can get rid of the streaks without sacrificing detail. Alternatively, paint over black with a foundation red like Mechrite (or whatever the new one is), then work up to a brighter red. That way your shading is already done for you.

Welcome to the world of 40k, I like the rough colour scheme, get your self in some paint lessons and ask about washes and highlights, that will add loads of life to your marines. Any name ideas yet? At a guess I'd put btween 550 and 650 points.

My own chapoter, The Broken Swords. Almost a full company.

The color scheme is strong in concept, I'd just say slow down a little bit, multiple coats, and a wash or two.
That, and a name for them lol
Best of luck

The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts
