Stalwart Dark Angels Space Marine

New Jersey

So this is a project that I started a while back and have been posting pictures of my progress but have never started a PLOG. I feel that this will help me stay motivated to continue building up this force.

This is a splinter Space Wolf Great Company
Fluffy long story short:Led by Wolf Lord Ae'gir Silvermane
Total strength ~ 200-300 Marines … so a small chapter.
Were heavily influenced by the 2nd founding chapter the Black Templars.
Use the BT model of campaigning, waging "hunter’s crusades" and no longer calling Fenris home.
Space faring / Nomadic like the BTs
Still on good terms with the Space Wolves as they uphold the legions traditions, but not exactly welcome guests in the Fang. More “old school” wolves actually support the idea of the Wolves reverting to the crusading days.
Set up "Dens" on inhabited worlds classified as "death worlds" as bases of operation and recruiting posts.
While the BTs like the idea that the Wolves Templar have taken up Crusading in the name of the Imperium like the legions of old … they still have no tolerance for mutation or psychic usage (whom many in the imperium would say the Canis Helix is as well as the use of Librarians a.k.a. Rune Priests), and so are want to work with the Wolves Templar.
So a little catch 22 action going on here; the SWs like the idea of crusading and want to support the Wolves Templar but won’t because they feel a little betrayed/abandoned. And the BTs also like the idea of another chapter crusading as they do but would prefer they were a little less “wolfy”
So the chapter is left to their own devices, struggling to find support from their fellow Astartes.

Look and Feel:Black armor keeping with the BT image
Red shoulder guards and Bronze trim
White Crusader Cross as the Chapter Symbol
Leaders take up medieval heraldry once advanced to the Wolf Guard (painted on their left shoulder guard)
Over all I think my scheme is pretty striking and sits nicely between a dark medieval feel and a feral/wolfy look.
