I am just terrible at building terrain so I want to purchase some, can anyone point me in the direction of a good website or websites that sell 40k size terrain other than GW? Thank you for any and all help you can give me.

I buy a lot of terrain from a local Toy Train store. They have tons of cool stuff. Nothing futuristic but they have lots of natural terrain features.

E-Bay is full of terrain and there are absolutely loads of E-Bay shops selling the stuff, alternatively you can make your own, it's very rewarding and not especially expensive, the main expense being foam. Model trees are cheap as chips on E-Bay too since you can get them direct from China, I payed about £10 for 100 5cm palm trees which did a lot of woods, impassable jungle, etc.

Pegasus makes great terrain and its very affordable. I would also suggest attempting to make some simple terrain. The most important terrain for game balance is large line of sight blocking terrain. I suggest metal or plastic coffee containers. Spray them black and dry brush a bit of grey or other dark color and maybe a little metallic on the edges and you've got a nice silo of some sort. Purchasinga foam cutter is a good investment, lets you shape foam into a hills and its very cost effectve.

I would also give these guys a look http://www.amera.co.uk/product.php?range=z . They make hollow plastic terrain, so its very cost effective but you'll still have to paint it.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Gale Force 9 (http://www.gf9.com/) makes some good terrain kits under their Battlefield in a Box line. They're a little pricy, but the kits are high quality and come mostly painted. Their terrain features usually come with static grass so you can customize them further, but I find that they are just fine out of the box. I know my FLGS stocks the kits, and you can also find good deals on the line at other online retailers.
