Gonna throw up some (all) of my completed Empire units, starting with the characters.

Iv actually had this army for about three years, just always had it running on the backburner. Its really with the onset of a year-long campaign at my local store that I decided to move away from my Vampire Counts, and really get stuck in to the Empire. Then, as I was getting used to them, a new book came out! Bloody typical eh?

(oh, and thanks to the campaign rules, the availability of characters is severely limited, to emphasize their unique nature, and we have to give them names too.) And I went with an "Action-80's" theme (mainly for a bet, but hey, I got a pint out of it.)

So without further ado;
Hoff von Hassel (captain)

Mikael Knightt (BSB)

Briark von Blessed (WP)

MC Hammer (WP)

Eric Palin von Cleese (Witch Hunter)[nobody expects the Spanish inquisition after all]

Bloody Stupid Johnson (Engineer)

Merciless Ming (Celestial Wizard)

Thats it for now, I shall add more as/when I finish them, Im currently chugging my way through 40 Greatswords, 40 Halberds and my Artillery train, plus a couple of sculpting commissions, so expect some of them soon...

cheers
JP

@ Blood Lance: The Witch Hunter is simply FWs Solomon Lok Inquisitor with a sword swap, and some green stuff covering up the more "40k bits", luckily his armour looks like very ornate full plate, so it fits...
The BSB is an old metal Army-Deal model, a relatively rare model now (I used him because I cant stand the current "Griffon Banner" dude, or the plastic chaps.)
The Engineer is the limited edition Marco Colombo (not that hard to find, I picked mine up for about £4 on eBay.

@Wildboar, thanks very much mate!

Damn fine work. I think some of the shading lines are a bit visible, but (and let me stress this) I think that is only because my viewpoint via these pics is so close. On the tabletop it should be indistinguishable, and I think these probably look mighty fine! Again, damn fine work.

Welcome to the Freakshow!

And Iv also finally finished the bulk (2500points) of the army, including custom, magnetized bases.

And just for giggles:

Cheers for looking, sorry for the wall of pictures but hey, better than a wall of text...

Cheers everyone:
@whiten, SO much work went into the bases. I thought to myself that thegaps in the GW bevelled bases sort of spoiled the 'uniformity' of one massive regiment, so what I did was buy a bunch of mantic bases, flip them (leaving a gap for a magnet) an proceed to build them up with ballast, sand and plasticard. I tell ya though, the GW tufts kit is awesome.

@Sarpedon, the references make it really. The steam tank, for example, has 'Outta Time' on the rear bumper scroll, so guess who the engineer is...

I have a couple of characters planned, first up is a lore-of-metal wizard "Frederick Bulsara" (+1 internets to first to get it...),

Looks real good chap!

Good idea with the use of string on the bows will have to show that to my wife as I am sure she would like to do the same with her Elves.
