Hi everybody!

I have never actually played a table top war game before (unless you cout Risk) but I became a bit addicted to the idea of war gaming as it sounds like a lot of fun! It all began when i saw some 40k artwork online (it was on this very website too, imagine that!) that I thought looked awesome, I found out that it wasn't just cool artwork but there were models and a game attached too. I started researching 40k and came across this website again and noticed that there were quite a few other games as well, each with even more awesome models and artwork. I decided I wanted to get into the hobby as it looked like fun, I then saw the price tags and found out how expensive this hobby can be. The prices didn't deter me, all that means is that it might take a bit longer for me to have a playable army and I am fine with that.

There is one thing that bothers me though, I don't want to start building an army only to find out that no one plays that system in my area or that I happened to choose the army that everyone else already plays because its no fun not having any opponents or seeing the same thing every game.

Well, I kind of just started rambling there (sorry about that), but I was hoping that Dakka might be able to help me with my situation as well as give me a warm welcome to the forums.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Hello! Welcome to DakkaDakka! Happy wargaming man.

Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.
