Hi guys
About to head to a tournament next Saturday/Sunday and I cleared out my box of dusty Tyranids and decided to use them. The list has to be sent in before this Sunday so any help within the next 48hrs would help a lot.

My list consists of:

Hive Tyrant with Bonesword/lash-whip, Scything Talons and Hive Commander
2 Tyrant Guard with lash whips
Venomthrope
2 Zoanthropes
10 Genestealers and 1 Broodlord
20 Hormagaunts with toxin sacs
6 Raveners with rending claws
Trygon Prime
10 Termagaunts with toxin sacs
Tervigon (Troop) with Catalyst
10 Gargoyles
Tyranid Prime with deathspitter
4 Warriors, 3 with deathspitters and one with a venom cannon

Comments:
Basically the Guard will protect the Tyrant and try to get into CC asap

The venomthrope will protect the warriors until the hormagaunts coming in from the sides using the hive commander rule
Hopefully they will come in the same side as the venomthope so that they are not gunned down straight away

Zoanthropes will destroy any light tanks/ heavy support

Raveners will try for any units sitting at the back

Tervigon will hold about the middle, spitting out gaunts as much as possible while holding an objective (Troop)

Gargoyles (deep strike), hopefully coming in late as possible

Trygon deep striking as soon as possible with the gaunts using the tunnel as a quick system

Genestealers to attack weak units at the side

Warriors to get into CC as soon as possible

Tell me guys what you think

Lack of elite choice is hampering you to be honest. Single venomthrope will be picked out early and you have no hive guard. Can you maybe use the warriors as hive gaurd as they are not much use otherwise ...

So take out the warriors/prime and replace them with some hive guard and more venomthropes???
And if theres any extra add more Zoanthropes or something???

Yes. Elite slot can be failry mix and match as there's so many good choices there. All the top Nid lists though have one thing in common in that they use all 3 elite slots.

See there. 3 units of pyrovores and you're set!

I think zoanthropes work best in mycetic spores. Slogging, as it were, allows them to be picked off by a......lascannon blast or whatever.

I'd trade the prime and warriors for another couple units of stealers, personally. I really like how you're using lots of different units, I just feel that focusing a bit on one that works particularly well may be the ticket. Or maybe drop raveners for stealers.

but it all on the table and you opponent will be asking to see your list cause of numbers.

absolutely right the tervigon holds objectives

set up everything as close the the center as possible, if you are deploying first. if not react as normal.

zoes hunt AV 14 everything else get with your infiltrating stealers.

yes infiltrate your stealers you want them there early trust me! I used to outflank every time then i started infiltrating and you can just hop from cover to cover it works!

everythign else is a wave

Keep your prime in that warrior unit. they reroll all to hits, and all to wounds! keep that mini death star by your tyrant and wal;k them up the field.

Raveners are second wave after stealers, be aggressive. always be agressive! you are tyranids! EAT THEM!

stealers should go for metal boxes first. also if you go first the game is going to be lovely! with some luck first turn charges!

Dude, your enthusiasm is fantastic!

Great point on the stealers. If you can hide from LOS and be close, 1st turn charge. Even at 18", I've seen people roll 6's....it's happened against Me =/

Single trygon is a bit of a target and rather than regen (expensive) I would rely on FNP (from tervigon) to help vs missiles and then give him AG for when he makes it across the board.

3 raveners is too small a brood for me. One brood of 5 seems about right.

Not a great fan of vanilla hormogaunts. Termagants in the tervigon AG/TS bubble are often better and often free to boot ...

Warriors I'm not a fan of. They just struggle to justify 35pts each for a slow CC model when hive guard are only 50 points and much more useful.

I'd look to run a 2nd tervigon and some hive gaurd here rather than warriors/hormogaunts and non-spore zoanthropes personally.
