I wanted to share the random team's tournament (you are paired randomly with other players for a 2v2 match) list that I will be taking for tomorrow. I have some flexibility if anyone notices major changes that need to be made to it. The tournament will use NOVA missions with 3 games (each with each deployment type) - bonus points for a killing a unit from each Force Org Slot. I know I am making my ally take a turn of shooting before I arrive, them's the breaks!

First, the construction rules:
-All Units 0-1
-No Special Characters
-Modified Force Org: 1 HQ, 1-3 Troops, 0-2 all other slots

I want to bring 2 troop choices so that at least one can drop onto our CC objective and we have a shot at winning Seize Ground (and KP with how few I have) if my ally only brings 1 troop unit. The theory here is to have two flexible waves I can drop in support of my ally and lend to the overall target saturation - 1 of T5/6 badies and the other of T3/4 speed units. For a Mechanized ally I will bring in the MC since the weapons that tend to take those down are also great for taking down Rhinos. For a horde based army (or foot) I will add some more bodies that can hit their lines fast.

One note, I really wanted to take Seekers for this, but while their mounts are just about done, the Riders are still in an only primed state - I would have lose the Crushers and DP to add them with another unit of Horrors. What are your thoughts on that change, and the list?

slnesh daemon prince? isnt that to expensive? why not use the khorne one scince its cheaper? so you can add more of the pink horrors or daemonets?

My theory on the Daemon Princess is she is there in a support role to help the Crushers get into combat (or add some extra charge to the Fiends/Daemonettes).

The Princess costs 155 points, The base cost for a Prince w/ Iron Hide is 110 points and I am paying 45 points for Grenades, Pavane and +1 I. I Think the Khorne Mark is the same base cost, add in Blessing of the Blood God and I could save about 40 points - assuming I do not take Might as well of course.

I am not sure if the tradeoff losing Pavane at BS 5 is worth 3 more Horrors/Daemonettes.

ok i see your point but if you had to choose your team mates go nurgle and have a nurgle csm army :3 best combo EVER

I wish I could choose them for this - the scheme is random pairing first round. Subsequent rounds the top and bottom are paired, the second top second bottom, et cetera.

A Drop Pod Space marine army would be nice too for some fast meltagun action.

I like the tournament army rules.

I'm surprised that you are not taking IG tbh. You can get a boat load of guys for one troops choice.

question is the forge world daemon prince of khorne thats an hq any good?

I will link the battle reports to this army list later today when I write them up. I do not own it, just sisters and daemons so it was a daemon day with these rules. Finished 2-0-1 with some very good competition.

The forge world do looks awesome, I would run him as skarbrand or as a thirster. His rules from fw are a bit lackluster iirc
