Got a ton of older eldar models on the cheap and I have thrown a list together with what was included.

Elite
Wraithguard x 5 - 175
Warlock w/ conceal - 15
in a Wave serpent w/ tl scatter lasers and spirit stones - 125
Troops
5 groups of 10x Dire Avengers (120 each)
all with Exarchs with diresword and shuriken pistols and bladestorm - (37 each)
Fast Attack

Are those all the models you have?

Do you have your heart set on 2k points, or would you be willing to go lower?

I play a fair amount of 2k, and as such would enjoy a list for it. As for the models, yes. I also have another grav tank base with no turret that II can buy a turret for as well as a ton of guardians.

EML and BL on the wraithlords as well as scatter lasers for light vehicles and the vypers for alpha striking light transports. Wraithguard can take out some av14 if they get in range.

Drop the spirit stones from the walkers. Squadron rules treat stunned as shaken anyways. Also drop the holo fields from the vypers. They cost almost as much as the vyper and an AV10 open topped skimmer will probably not survive anyways.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

That gives me roughly 88 points to play around with. I completely forgot about the squadron rules point. Thanks.

Ok, well if your looking at some other models, I can give my thoughts and suggestions.

* Reecius got to the top tables at Adeptecon with foot'dar. I have quoted his list below and some batreps. His getting there was no fluke.
* A squad of harliequins can give your other models cover, since they harlies cannot be shot and they provide cover for the models behind it
* Vypers get shot down fast. Unlike war walkers, vypers don't bring enough firepower to make their suicide alpha strike worth it
* Wraithguard used to be awesome, but in the current meta their really 'meh'. For a model that pops easily to a ML, your paying a premium
* Bladestorm is not that awesome in a foot list. Usually its better to have shooting on the next turn.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that great advice. Working on converting some guardians to look more like harlequins, and then I need to focus on how to get some fire dragons on the cheap.

take out the wave serpent and add some jetbikes with the extra points.

drop holo fields on the vypers and add a scatter laser/cannon setup , double cannon, or just EML. I would suggest EML because you dont have enough anti long range tank.

Dire Avenger spam might be a bit much, Id drop 1-2 squads of them and add a jetbike squad for some mobility, and then add a counter charge unit like harlequins.

Vypers with just scatter laser turret and shiruken cannon bottom do great IMO and with other tank support work very well as people often need to focus on the other elements of your army. Plus they can hide easily enough.

Wraithguard are not "meh" but are very effective and good units, I use them extensively in my armies and do well.

Regardless, you will need ranged anti tank and I recommend taking multiple units of Fire Dragons in Wave Serpents and having some EML/BL wraithlords or Fire Prisms for the job.
