Yeah, I don't have PTSD after five combat tours, and frankly I'd rather get parachuted back into Helmand province armed with only a fething Nerf gun and my underpants than go into my local GW.

Hi, couple of things.

First off, what are you planning on giving your Rune Priest. Chooser of the Slain is a must IMHO as it gives you a good amount of Infiltration defence as well as making your Rune Priest more effective at range. Also, which psychic powers are you giving him, I'd choose from JOTWW, Murderous Hurricane and Living Lightning, although I quite like Tempests Wrath it's quite situational.

Although Ragnar is a raging beast I'm not sure about him in a 1,500pt list, he is very expensive.

Maybe swap out the Plasma on the Grey Hunters for 2 Melta Guns, you're in need of some anti-tank. An assault cannon and a missile launcher on a dread aren't going to cut it I'm afraid.

Speaking of which, if you're looking for a firebase Long Fangs are probably a better way to go than a Dread, for a start that can't be killed by a single non-blasting shot. As well as this they can lay down more firepower and can shoot at 2 different targets each.

Also, I'd probably stick a Power Fist/Thunder Hammer in with the Wolf Guard, just to give them the ability to kill vehicles and stop them from getting tied up by dreadnoughts etc.

In short, drop Ragnar and pick up another Rune Priest, then drop the Dread and use the points to take as many Long Fangs as you can with missile launchers. Swap the Plasma Guns on the Grey Hunters for Meltaguns and drop 2 Wolf Claws for 2 Power Fists or Thunder Hammers on the Wolf Guard.

Hope this is useful.

Wolfguard: If you're not going to use them to lead your packs taking them without terminator armor is a mistake. While their weapon options are impressive, they're going to die just as easily as any grey hunter. The land raider transport can be cost prohibitive at this point level if you're trying to avoid footslogging, but you might consider a drop pod. If you trimmed down the sized to 5 wolfguard they'd fit. What about:
250pt- 1 term. w/ PF, 3 term w/ combi-metla and wolf claw, 1 term. w/ frost blade+ drop pod

That would trim down 93 points. If you'd rather footslog you could drop the pod in favor of a cyclone missile launcher and save 5 points.

I realize your idea might be to put ragnar in the rhino with the wolf guard. If you're set on this, trimming some of the options of the wolf guard enough to pay for a wolf priest is another option. with the prefered enenmy offered by oath of war and the wolf claws you could reroll both your to hits and to wounds.

Dreadnaught: as the only vehicle in the list thats not a transport, its going to see a lot of hate. You might want to consider making it a venerable dreadnought.

If you're against taking more heavy support hunter killer missiles for the rhinos might be something to invest in. Also, the grey hunter squads of ten are entitled to one more special weapon at no extra cost.
