I'm looking for comments on my 1500 point Necron list. I'll be using it for the first time next month at a local tournament.

Looks solid to me, just be aware that your only reliable anti AV14 is on the barges, so make sure you kill that stuff first.

Weird, skoffs just produced a similar list - check his "Overbalanced" list. He added extra AV14, but left himself with only 2 scoring units. At 1500, the trade off seems to be between AT/scoring.

It seems to me that the only reliable anti-AV14 the Necrons have is the Triach Stalker. Currently, I don't plan to buy one at all. We'll have to see how 6th changes damaging vehicles. I don't think I could find the 150 points to fit it into this list either.

I have to disagree on the Stalker being the only reliable AV14. I think the CCB Olord is reliable - I'd personally prefer the CCB overlord with war scythe to a Stalker because you get 2 shots at it if you really need them. 3 sweep attacks (which hit on 3+ if you move slower) plus S7 and 2d6 for each attack (this in the movement phase). If you miss those you can disembark and assault the vehicle (if you really need it dead) for another 3 attacks.

There have been very few vehicles I needed to make more than 1 sweep attack over.

Course tonight I was playing and needed three passes to kill a crusader - kept whiffing the damage roll!!

But that was just tonight....I hope!

Well, I do have two CCB Lords.

I've been wondering if I should drop a Wraith in favor of a Cryptek for the Immortals and/or some more Wargear on the Lords, such as Mindshackle Scarabs.

When you say Cryptek for the immortals I assume you are referring to a StormTek with Lightning? Or did you mean a DespairTek with vod?

There's an interesting thread on StormTeks vs LanceTeks in tactics at the moment. Why don't you simply swap a Lancetek for a StormTek and test whether it works in the list?

Course, you could swap a lancetek, then drop a wraith and add the DespairTek as well (as you have 2 CCB olords) for some late game objective capturing shenanigans.

Damn, now I have to go buy wraiths AND more immortals AND another Barge (or 2). /I can't afford this hobby/

Those are the two I'd be stuck between if I did decide to add another Cryptek.

I will add I think a Transmogrification Cryptek with the Crucible could be nice too.
