Hey all I just joined recently and I was hoping to get peoples thoughts on this GK army that I am putting together. So here it is.

Any ideas I want I could do with the extra points? I have considered giving 1 of the dreads a twin-linked lascannon instead.

with purifyers you either make them pure shooting or pure melee its not really the best to mix them

Ok so should I take the dreads out and get rid of psybolt ammo? Or should I try to get another sqaud of purifiers with psycannon in a rhino?

No, you dont make purifiers pure CC or pure shooty. You do exactly this. That said, I see little need for the flamers, get more dakka (as in Psycannons).
I would also conider running only 5 man squads and spending 100pts on psybolt ammo is not worth it. That buys you half another squad.

This brings me to 1700 any ideas on what I ciuld do with 50pts? Was thinking about giving the rhinos HC missiles

I would definitely bring a Hammer along in those squads if at all possible.

Also, if you're going to put Searchlights on anything, I would suggest it be on a Rhino as the Rhino will be closer than a Dreadnought.

So how do you think this would work? Do you think it would be competitive?

Looks pretty straightforward up to the Inquisitor. This guy has too many upgrades and he can die easily.

What if I trade him, one dreadnought and the 2 searchlights out for a land raider?

Well, if you want a LR, I'd include a cc-dedicated unit, or 10 Purifiers. Otherwise, the transport capabilities of the LR will be wasted.
