I already consulted Slow & Purposeful, Relentless (page 76), and Fall Back on page 45. Tau's AdvancedStabilizationSystem is being questioned here, page 25 ish.
If a unit with A.s.s. (Relentless in Move Phase) Falls Back, that is, Broadsides, do they retreat 2d6 or 1d6?
If 1d6, then, looking at A.s.s., it says you have the choice in the Movement phase, so (after the above Q is answered) can the b-side shoot its RG, if only having retreated a d6?

Seeing as how Fall Back moves ignore difficult terrain (which is what Slow & Purposeful make you move through at all times) they would still fall back 2D6"

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

HJ, that's how I've been doing it, and seeing it done for 7 years, but another poster has me re-examining this.
So, waiting for more opinions and citations.

Page 45 main rules says that "Units normally fall back 2D6"." This then is the basic fall back move. Any and all units that fall back make this move.
Page 52 deals with jump infantry and has a specific exception to the basic fall back move.
Page 53 deals with bikes and jetbikes and also has specific exceptions to the basic fall back move.
Page 54 deals with beasts & cavalry and again has a specific exception to the basic fall back move.
Page 76 has the slow and purposful USR, and since that rule has no specific exception to the fall back rule, the basic rule would apply. Therefore, slow and purposful models would fall back 2D6".
That's the citations and rules references that I can find. Hope it helps.

The battlesuit can elect to use the Slow & Purposeful Rule for the remainder of the turn, Pg. 25 of the codex, counting as moving in difficult terrain. It also confers the Relentless USR on the unit. Pg. 76 of the BBB
The Fall back move is 2d6", and ignores difficult terrain. So the battlesuit falls back 2d6". Pg. 45 of the BBB
However, the battlesuit is Relentless, and counts as stationary for firing purposes. So it can fire Heavy Weapons and Rapid Fire Weapons at full distance. Pg. 76 of the BBB
The suit will fall back 2d6", but can fire its weapons.
