G'day guys!
I have a tournament coming up in a months time, and I want to do some play testing before then with a few lists!
This is one I played with today, and if it wasn't for terrible rolling (imotekh lightning hitting nothing between 2000 points, night fight ending at the start of turn 2, 7 scarabs not being able to kill a land speeder moving at normal speed, 5 wraiths failing to even hit a dred on the charge) I think it would have been a lot more effective.
So if I could please ask for any help from anyone that would be awesome

5 x immortals: gauss blasters - 85 (with Imotekh)
5 x immortals: tesla - 85 (with cryptek)
5 x warriors - 65 (reserve and grab back objective if need be)

The general strategy is to close in using Imotekh's night fighting, with the PulseTek as back up or as an illuminator if it comes down to it.
I expect to face at least one other Necron player (though he is poorly acquainted with...well tactics ) 3 GK, at least 5 or 6 SW, an Eldar, an Ork, couple of BA and most likely some tau as well, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

imo Imotekh is too much point cost at 1000 points.. i normaly run alot of warriors 30.. and back them up with ghost ark that can rebuild if res orb don't get them back up. i also use two crypteks .. one is Despair and other is Storm. this looks like a fun list though.. I have not had much luck with the new scarabs either don't know why.. i have recently been playing a Ctan at 1250. i have a tournament coming up in 2 weeks so we will see. but as far as Imotekh.. he is good but eats up alot of points at 1000. i'd say drop him to either Anrakyr .. or an overlord with warscythe and phase. i don't have much luck with the lighting hit either. that will free up some points to add another cryptek to your court.

Have you got any more models?

In the above list how did you use the spyder? I'd almost be inclined to drop the spyder and a couple of scarab bases to add another anni barge. So, you'd probably end up with 7 scarabs in the swarm but you'd have two faster threats.

If you have any more barges perhaps consider a change from Imo to put a scythe Overlord in it (maybe Anrakyr for the upgrade to Eternals and some MitM fun). That would add another highly mobile element.

Is there a lot of Mech? If not, more Tesla may help.

There is sort of a mix of mech and infantry, it isn't very hardcore here :p I own a a monolith, 6 destroyers (3 heavy) a destroyer lord, bunch more warriors, more crypteks, a c'tan, a second Spyder and a ghost ark. See I've never really had good luck with annibarges like most people, so I tend to only run one. Its gets really annoyingmplaying at this points level with chrons, just not enough points!
I use the Spyder to hand behind a scarab squad and boost them up, he tend to either get shot or ignored, either which is good for me
I've just found that when the storm lord works, we works very well.

Ok so a bit of a reworked list, would this any better?

If you want to run the list as is, put 2 pistols on your wraiths for would allocation because your overlord is actually worth 150, giving you 10 extra points.

What I would do is, drop the anni barge, phaeron, and warriors to make room for a ccb for your overlord, 5 immortals (and give all 3 groups tesla), 1 pistol for your wraiths, and a scarab. That comes out to 1000 points exactly.

Why? One anni barge doesn't do enough imo, 5 warriors that come out of reserve just to hold a point is not cost effective, and phaeron on a 5 man squad is a waste of an HQ, The ccb is one of those things you just have to run because its so damn good, having 3 squads of immortals on the field actually helping in the fight is going to be better than a 5 man warrior squad that you don't even want on the field till late game, the particle caster on the wraiths will not only give you more attacks but extra survivability due to wound allocation, and a scarab because you don't need anymore upgrades on anything.

In 1000 point games, points are obviously scarse and you want to get as much use out of them as possible. A 20 point Phaeron upgrade on a 5 man squad who gets 1 shot each at max range doesn't seem like your getting as much bang for your buck as you thought. 5 shots hiting on 3s, 3 should hit and against T4, 2 of those 3 should wound then they ignore armour so 2 kills (assuming you are using them for the armor pen). The warrior squad is 65 points doing nothing for most of the game, take out 20 points from somewhere (phaeron) and you have 5 immortals that can help a whole lot more. That is a petty decent list... though I would suggest making some minor changes:
-turn one unit of Immortals into Warriors. Stick the Lance-tek into that unit.
-drop a Scarab base.
-that will free you up 35 points, with which you can get A) an additional Wraith, or B) and additional Immortal per unit (so 6 each).

In this era, I really worry about lists that rely too heavily on the assault phase for vehicle destruction.

I'll tell you what I think... I think I'm going down to the FLGS to pick up another box of immortals! I agree with you everywhere, I think that the extra squad of Tesla immortals will be a lot more benificial then 5 warriors and say another wraith. Thanks mate tell me how your match goes because I won't be able to get one in for at least another week.
And at Lucre, vechile spam isn't very popular down here, at worst it will be 3 razorbacks and a couple of tanks

While you are there, pick up another box of warriors. Then you can build the deathmarks as well (using warrior legs and chests). Or, build crypteks or lords.
