Please help to create a winning list for an upcoming 1250 pt tourney. It will be standard missions and 80% Spacemarines and 20% Eldar (yep, nothing else.^^)

Heres a list to start with:

2x mandatory HQ: Battle Leader with Frostblade and Boltpistol

1x mandatory 6 Grey Hunters: 5x Bolter, 1x Melter

these all go in one Pod.

5x 8 Blood Claws: 2x Powerfist, 1x Melter in Pod

1x basic Landspeeder

1229 pts, 55 models, 7 scoring units.

Please comment!

Well, if I understand the rules correctly (I run a DP wolf army myself), those battle leaders cannot drop in with the grey hunters, they would need there own individual drop pods. You could run a ven dread in one pod, and then a battle leader and use the 6 grey hunters as wolf guard, all in another pod.
If you need points, drop the speeder. I also run one speeder in my army (missle/ melta type), and it does come in handy though, so I see why your using it.
Another option would be to drop a squad of blood claws and use those figures to bump your other squads up to 10 men each. This may help with all the fire that will coming there way when you land.

D'OH!!!!

I completely forgot about the mandatory 1 squad of GH's!!!!!

You could put the battle leader in a pod by himself and put the GH in another pod. If your lucky, you could use the pods to block line of sight when you land, and have the BL join a squad he lands near in the next turn. Sorry, it's early and the coffee is still working its way through my veins!

Hehe. Over here its commonly allowed in tourneys to let Characters join troops in Pods. (Allthough the official rules say different.)
I found in 1250 it might be best to go for numbers and keep the HQs as cheap as possible. One of them could become a Rune or Wolf Priest though for the remaining points. Or would a Plasma Pistol be better?

The Speeder is there to grab objectives primarily. Since the rest of the army is rather tough to kill, I thought a normal Speeder might fit the theme. He can keep 36" distance and is much lower on the target priority list. Or would you suggest a tornado? Id have to free 9 points then.
