Hey, I've recently started an ork army and so far I have about 1,000 points. I am planning to increase the size of my army to 2,000 points and thought I'd get some opinions on my list before I buy anything new. Warboss + power klaw + twin linked shooter + 'eavy armour + cybork body = 105 Big Mek + kustom force field + power klaw + 'eavy armour + cybork body + grot oiler = 135 5 mega armoured nobs = 200 7 nobs + 2 power klaws + 5 big choppas + 'eavy armour = 250 30 boys + 3 big shootas + nob with power klaw = 230 30 boys + 3 big shootas + nob with power klaw = 230 3 deff koptas with rokkit launchas = 135 3 killa kans with grotzookas + grot oilers + armour plates = 180 looted wagon + boom gun + 2 big shooters + 'ard case + grot riggas + armour plates = 140 battle wagon + 'ard case + deff rolla + killcannon + grot riggas + armour plates + wrecking ball + 2 big shootas =225 battle wagon + 'ard case + deff rolla + kannon + grot riggas + armour plates + wrecking ball + 2 big shooters = 175 total = 1,995 points So far the models I own are; warboss, big mek, 18 slugga boys, 2 big shoota boys, 5 nobs with big choppas, 1 nob with power claw, 3 deff koptas and a looted wagon. Any suggestions or feedback?

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

If you want to move in a certain direction, like a mechanized Ork list with Battlewagons let's say, then there are certain units you don't need to buy.
A Battlewagon list is among the most competitive types of Ork armies. Your basics in a 2000 pt list:
Big Mek(s) with KFF
40-60 Ork Boyz
3+ Battlewagons
Rokkit Buggies/Lootas/Deffkoptas in support roles
In a 2000 point list you can run 5 Battlewagons and still have a decently balanced list. 3 Battlewagons take up your heavy slots, and then you need 2 Nob squads to take a Battlewagon as their dedicated transports.
The most crucial upgrades in order on your BWs: Deffrolla, Big Shoota(for weapon destroyed result), Red Paint/Armor Plates/Grot Riggers.
The BW rush works where you zoom up as quickly as you can with the Battlewagons, drop off the units inside and get messy. There are variants on how BW lists are played, some use the BW as a mobile shooting platform.
So if you decide to do BW list, you don't necessarily need Mega nobz or a warboss. You definitely don't need killa kans or looted wagons.
In fact, looted wagons don't fit well into any competitive lists.
Other types of competitive lists
Kanwall (Kans and Dreads in the front form a wall for footslogging shoota boyz, all covered by a Big Mek with KFF)
Green tide (lots and lots of boyz)
Shooty (lots of shoota boyz, lootas, and big gunz)

Basically you need to try and figure out what style of orks to play.
if you like big av 14 battlewagons running arround, go battle wagon rush. this would normally be lead by a big mek w kff
if you like really fast trukks and bikes running around go with speed freaks. normally led by kff
if you like tons and tons of boyz piyaling in and just plain mobing the enemy with dice go with foot slogin. this should be lead by a warboss

about 2000 points

Okidoki, I'll have a think about what style I want to do. I'm leaning more towards the battle wagon side with KFF
Cheers for the advice
