Hi,

I've been wanting to do an all infantry death guard army for a while and this is the list I've come up with so far;

Typhus - 225

7 terminator champions + icon of nurgle + 2 power fists + 2 chain fists + 3 combi weapons + heavy flamer - 390

7 terminators + icon of nurgle + 2 power fists + 2 chain fists + 3 combi weapons + heavy flamer - 320

7 terminators + icon of nurgle + 2 power fists + 2 chain fists + 3 combi weapons + heavy flamer - 320

7 plague marines + champion with power fist & plasma pistol + personal icon + 2 plasma guns - 251

7 plague marines + champion with power fist & plasma pistol + personal icon + 2 plasma guns - 251

7 plague marines + champion with power fist & plasma pistol + personal icon + 2 plasma guns - 251

total = 1,998 points

I've kept it in the theme of the death guard with their sacred number and their background of specialising in boarding enemy space craft (not sure how accurate that is).

What does everyone think?

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

One thing that springs to mind is a lack of vehicles. Not sure how much this would put you at a disadvantage, as movement is a pretty key aspect to the current metagame.

But Death Guard are tough as balls, I know from experience, so it's still a pretty solid list.

The other thing is no melta guns, keep in mind even if you aren't running tanks, almost every other army will be. You're lacking in anti-tank in a huge way.

If I may suggest something, drop two termie squads in favor of some antitank.

My suggestions would be las missile dreads and a 3 man squad of obliterators. It will keep with your walking wall of death

For the cost of two of your termie squads, you could give this list the range it needs to make it really unfriendly at range.

When your wife suggests roleplay as a result of your table top gaming... life just seems right

I took my wife thru the BRB for fantasy and 40k, the first thing she said was "AWESOME"... codex: Chaos Daemons Nurgle..... to all those who says God aint real....

I don't want to drop too many terminators but hows this?

Typhus - 225

7 terminators + icon of nurgle + 2 power fists + 2 chain fists + 3 combi weapons + heavy flamer - 320

7 terminators + icon of nurgle + 2 power fists + 2 chain fists + 3 combi weapons + heavy flamer - 320

Dreadnought + lascannons + missile launcher - 125

7 plague marines + champion with power fist & plasma pistol + personal icon + 2 plasma guns - 251

7 plague marines + champion with power fist & plasma pistol + personal icon + 2 plasma guns - 251

7 plague marines + champion with power fist & plasma pistol + personal icon + 2 plasma guns - 251

7 havocs + 4 lascannons - 185

total = 1,993 points
