Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this combo. What I want to do (now this is before play testing) is have a Lord on a wolf with Saga of the Beastslayer, with a wolf claw. He's gonna have 6 attacks on the charge with rerolls. As long as the opponent has T5 or is a MC then I can reroll to hits and to wound. Idk if this is good or not, as I haven't play tested it.
If not, what are better weapon load outs and whats a better saga to take? thanks.

It's a good combination but situational because you won't often run into toughness 5 creatures.
Saga of the Bear is most often taken because instant death is a most humiliating end for a model who can cost over 250 points.
Saga of the Warrior Born is the next most common because it turns the Lord into a blender capable of incredible body counts.
Saga of the Beastslayer can be useful on a Rune Priest with living lightning, because as it is worded it doesn't exclude the re-rolls from occurring at range.

Alright that makes sense, but what would you suggest for wargear?

Storm shield, thunderwolf mount and wolf claw, maybe runic armor and a saga is you are feeling spendy.

Is it worth taking a thunderhammer? My only problem is that you're sticking a weapon that makes you I1 onto a I5 character, and eleminating one of your biggest advantages in the first place.

Honestly? No. Space Wolves have many answers for anti-vehicle/ MC in Long Fang spam, razor backs and Grey Hunters powerfists/combi-melta/melta gun not to mention Wolf scouts, Wolf Guard cyclone...etc. The wolf claw is actually more effective against infantry then a thunder-hammer (3+ to wound with a reroll is better then a 2+ to wound) and still retains it's initiative 5 bonus. Hell, the wolf claw is still decent against most MCs as well thanks to the re-rolls. If you are concerned about him having issues with vehicles, which would be his main weakness, put a thunder-hammer on a TWC model and ride them together, or just make sure you support him properly by making sure he isn't in a position to be dealing with dreads or walls of armor.
