Hey Anvil, I thought about something that could be a good idea. How about some sprues with medals for the regiments? It could be a great way to customize certain miniatures and make some special characters stand out of the soldier crowd. I for example like to add "rewards" to miniatures that have commited heroic actions in games by placing skulls or other paraphernalia, and medals could be a great addition to those prizes.

I know I'm basically wishlisting, but I say it just in case it's a decent idea

Do you have any estimate on when the Dress Uniforms will be available in the 3D troop builder?
I wanted to design and order a custom regiment but I could not find the parts in the builder (maybe I'm doing it wrong).

I really would like to see what I like best, before ordering.

This is a great idea really fluffy for campaigns and general character building in armies!

Are the Dress Uniform parts shipping out yet, or are they still in pre-order? I want to put an order in soon but I want to make sure everything in it is available.

Also, is it possible to request specific weapons (in my case from the Phase Carbines 2 sprue) in the squad builder using a note on the order form or anything? I know it says it's random but there are a couple I want specifically. If not, I'll just order the whole sprue.

Hello Everyone, and a very Happy New Year to all!

First day back in the office and once we've got some admin out of the way and caught up with the order backlog, We will be getting on with our exciting plans for 2018!

@Warpig1815 - The Unity Council legs are separate and could be supplied with a Regiments kit, they are a little less bulky and have slightly smaller feet, but it works. The problem at the moment is we don't have a mould for that sprue, and no ETA as we are so swamped with work at the moment.

We will try and get a masked shako out at some point, but I dont have any ETA.

@Barzam- Thanks for suggestions. I don't think we will do a gasmask cavalry helm unfortuantely - Its just not feasible to do a gasmask version for every helmet style, we have so many head sprues already.

Some of the cloaks will be designed to fit partly over the top of the shoulder for a bit more realism.

@Ruglud - a lot of the newer GW kits are a slightly bulkier scale than their older stuff. Regiments parts are broadly the same proportions as the older plastic IG kits, so if you have a plastic Cadian available that would be a useful scale reference.

If you want a specific comparison, message me on facebook and I can send you a photo of a quick test build if we have the models in the studio.

@GloomyFenix - Medals is an excellent idea, so good that we already sculpted them in December and they will be included on a planned "officer upgrade" sprue later this month hopefully.

@IronAngel - We will try to get the Dress Uniform torsos/heads into the builder in the next couple of days.

@Paradigm - Yes Dress Uniform parts are all available and shipping out, but we do have a bit of a backlog from the sale and holiday break, so shipping may well take up to a week longer than usual.

If you can clearly explain which arms sets you want in the order comments, and we have them available, then we can sort out out specific arms for you.

A platoon order will be going in within a couple of months.

Order placed for a command squad, going for a Vostroyan look with bearskin hats, cuirass torsos, greatcoats and phase carbines. I'll throw up a mini-review here when they arrive, as most of the parts are from the new range.

Heads up, the dress uniform parts are now in the 3D Troop builder.

That reminds me, is there any other way to go to it apart from the Regiments Custom Platoon Builder?

Got my Dress Uniform stuff in the post today, I'll throw up some pics tomorrow but in short, they're more than up to scratch with the same high quality I've come to expect from Anvil. Very little cleanup needed, everything fits together exceptionally smoothly and there's a tremendous amount of variety to be had even with just a few figures. Top notch stuff!

Anyone remember when stuff from black Friday was due to ship?

@HoboJebus - We said "by the end of January".

Shipping has started and is well underway, we are sending out emails to people when their order actually ships.

We are running behind schedule, mostly due to staff illness which we didnt factor in, but should get the bulk of orders out before the end of the month, with some slipping into February.

Rest assured we are working as hard as we can to get them manufactured and shipped.

No rush I just couldn't remember.

Will be ordering some stuff soon for use in necromunda

@anvilhammer, loving all the new regiments bits you've been working in and releasing. Have you thought about doing any heads in an English civil war lobsterpot/roundhead style helmet?

@Sierra1247 - Thanks for the suggestion. Its a possibility at some point, but unlikely in the next year. I don't know when we will next revisit the historical stuff when we have so much on the to-do list already.

Afternoon all

We've been very quiet recently as shipping for our November "final mission" pre-order took a little longer than anticipated.

After months of hard work, we are almost at the end - the last few orders should ship out by the end of this week, and we hope to be fully back to business as usual by the end of next week!

This is excited, as it means we will soon be able to resume a schedule of regular releases of all the awesome stuff our design team has been cooking up in the past few months.

I can also now reveal we are planning a Kickstarter to run in April, to fund the Daughters of the Burning Rose, a full new army of gothic medieval warriors.

Ludicrous amounts of YES! Those are some superb designs.

Will these models be as customisable/modular as Regiments or the old Exo Lords, or are they more fixed poses in the vein of Afterlife?

Banners and cloacks aren't so big for me, but I am intrigued by the concept art vid. Will be keenly observing to see how well the art translates to sculpts, but I feel like I'll be in for the pague doctor regardless.

@Paradigm - I am confident the quality will exceed that of the Exo-Lords and Regiments, we have learned a lot about making the best resin miniatures over the last few years!

The plan is for the character models to be fixed pose, allowing for a lot of design freedom. The regular infantry will be modular and multi part, very similar to our existing Regiments range. The scale will also match the Regiments range.

@ANN - It will be primarily Sci-Fi orientated to start with, but if there is enough interest, it will be quite straight forward to add melee arms to make fantasy versions of the figures with melee weapons.

@Sockwithaticket - Chris and Thomas have already started work on the sculpts (previews in a few weeks) and I think you will be pleased, the Plague Doctor is mostly sculpted already, as are her assistants
