I love the effect you did on the stabilizers. Fantastic.

It's pretty over drybrushed, you end up getting those streaky effects on a model when you overdo it with drybrushing...My personal recommendation is to blend some hard edge highlighting with the worn effect that you are trying to achieve..Also is the white intentional? It looks like you haven't built up to white enough for such a large surface, it looks like the white paint was applied onto a dark color...it might just be the angle and lighting of the pictures, as I've taken a second look and it doesn't look quite as bad.

I'm sorry if it sounds like i am being extremely critical, it's not a BAD paint job by any means, and black templar vehicles are particularly difficult due to the nature of highlighting black and all that it entails (every screw up is glaringly obvious and it's a tedious process)

I think it looks great. If you look at aircraft that have been in service for some time they have that streaky look. My only CC would be to re paint the tail wings black and maybe just add a little white to it. Other than that, nice job!!!

Thanks for the input guys. Im relatively new to modeling and this was my most ambitious project to date. I definitely wanted it to look beat to gak like the rest of my Templars, as opposed to other chapters who keep their gear polished. Its chaos black base, mechanicum grey wash with boltgun drybrushing. The wings were very white until i washed and "scuffed" them. The aquila definitely needs a wash, and the cockpit needs drybrush and a quick clean before i glue it down.

Ive avoided highlighting on these guys and i do really need to practice. I have both a standard and Termi Chappy incoming and i want them top notch. Ill hook up a showcase for the rest of the army soon.

I think - Hell, yes. The mottled paintjob looks great for a heavily used vehicle and I like the contrast between the black body and the white wings.
