Because I am having an idiot moment can someone explain the those dates. They are "July" releases but the June dates are preorder. Or are both available on June 30th? I would not mind the gamers edition but wow that price is crazy.

Bums me out that there's only 2 new models being released with 6th, and they're both Necron special characters. I'm sure they'll be as cool as the other Necrons we've got though! I'll probably be down for the special edition 6th edition dealie, I love random GW swag.

Did you read the codex rules for him? It specifically states to use the same model for both versions.

There are only 30 days in june so the release date is 1 day before July.

To me it looks like the date formatting is saying "July Orders" "June 23 2012 preorder date" "June 30 2012 release date"

Clamp pack means fine cast doesn't it? Dammit all.

It seems GW really doesn't want anyone to ever field MANZ. crappy ruleset (should have options and just be SnP termies), and 22 bucks a pop. I'd be better off converting a box of termies =\.

A ClamPack is the single piece all plasti blisters we get these days, as oppose to the card/plasti blister packs they used to get.

That one was 5th edition.

What is the difference between "Gamers" Edition and "Collectors" Edition, this is my first time with a new rule set release.

A Clampack is the new Blisterpack GW uses.

With the release of the last 2 characters from the Necron Codex (Orikan and Anrakyr) everything listed in the codex will now be available for purchace. Is this the first time this has happened for a codex/army book within a year of that book's release date? I know there are other books that have all of their stuff available but I believe the new Necron codex got theirs in the shortest amount of time (9 months & 9 days) to date. Hopefully it's a trend that will continue.

Gamers edition usually is the regular rulebook with extra goodies like dice.. collectors edition will prolly be a cooler looking uber rulebook like they did with Fantasy

The Gamer's Edition Rulebook for Warhammer included the standard rulebook, a fancypants pouch (which was relatively well-made, imo) which was loaded up with some fun stuff.

Notably: The Counters and Template sets.

If I had to hazard a guess:
We'll see the same thing going on for the Gamer's Edition here, with some kind of fancy carrying pouch and template/counter sets.
