the cannonballs are are actually small weights from a curtain. they come in some sort of "chain" like this: http://pics.livejournal.com/gailcarriger/pic/001r4h10

I used to melt them in order to put some weight under the bases of my hormagaunts many years ago...

As for the scratchbuild; it's cool but a little basic... Needs to be more Orky imho.
