Eldar vs dark eldar is always amusing; eldar may be an old codex, but they have sooooooo much str 6 shooting it really hurts DE! Of course any game that doesn't involve marines on marines is fun.... Lol

Both armies were beautiful. Good game, good batrep, and good table. Nice to see all those other tables in the park. Must have been fun to be playing outside for a change.

Interesting Eldar list. I dont think its bad by any means, especially considering how he used it. Its a kind of FootDar / Mechdar Hybrid. (Id really encourage your friend to drop the nightspinner and a Dark Reaper for 3 more walkers, but 5th edition is over so who cares lol.

Im kind of surprised your Grotesque squad didnt get whiped with the Dark Reapers and the War Walkers shooting str8 and ap3 shots that ignore cover into you the entire game. I need to read up on how that Deathstar works.

Only thing the Eldar player could have done was use his Avatar in a more aggressive manner blocking off the frontal or southern assault.

As far as your Web Way List, I honestly think that this is the future of Eldar / Dark Eldar play styles. I know for a fact that if Eldar can use/bring Web Way Portals, im going to start doing it. Its going to revolutionize footdar.

Also, Imagine if you can bring an Autarch to +1 your reserve rolls, how much better it makes the list!

@ smitty ~ Yeah, of all my armies that have my gears turning right now, it's the DE. Being able to take eldar as allies is pretty much a dream come true if tournaments allow it.

About his list, we play with DaBoyz mostly. Most of our local tournaments have comp in one way or another and many locals play "no duplicate" armies by choice. In fact, despite my unusual lists, there are some that consider me a "powergamer" hehe.

Only the exarch ignores cover and grotesques are t5 so I get cover and FnP against the reaper missiles and EML's. The unit is incredibly resilient but very slow if my terrain rolls fail me. I'll have to re-evaluate them if cover and FnP both move to 5+.

If FNP moves to 5+ BA isnt a viable codex so I wouldnt be worried I would be VERY surprised if that happens. That would also nerf Whyches and Nids to such an extent I would be shocked.

Non-Duplicate lists are fasinating, I would honestly whole heatedly LOVE to play in a non-duplicate tournament, that would be so much fun!

And power gamer (I think thats what they call people who arnt bad).

Unless they make up for it by allowing FNP against more attacks (say Power Weapons and AP 1/2...)

Hyv3mynd clearly is a power gamer. He brought that DE death start overpoweredness to out last tournament and all I had was 6x crushers with fateweaver...
