How do the Tyranid players here like the Gargoyles? Tactics?

6 point jump infantry that come with a bolt pistol and a neat little trick (blinding venom). Not too bad.

I'd say there's two ways to run them:

Super cheap screening and disruption units. Take 10 with no upgrades (60 points) and use them for cover, have them eat some Overwatch shots, and maybe contest an objective if they somehow live.

Large tarpit and assault units. Take 20-30 and give them Toxin Sacs and Adrenal Glands. They can glance light vehicles to death (only takes about 15). If they stay in synapse, they can hold up smaller units for the entire game. And even with only 1 attack base, they can dish out some pain on the charge. Hammer of wrath and Strength 4 poisoned attacks can add up.

A favorite tactic of mine is to completely surround an expensive unit and just sit there. They either charge your super cheap unit, wasting a turn. Or they can't move AND grant you a cover save if they shoot at a different unit.

Nice, that is what I was thinking when I was reading up on them. They seemed to have a lot of utility, despite the fact that they are wicked fragile.
