Hmm... choosing a race to start gaming with in 40K...? That's a tough one, and depends on a few things, mainly what army type appeals to you.

For instance, if you have a sense of humour and don't mind the occasional misfire or bits falling off your tanks, then I'd recommend orks. If you like fast, violent, sneaky, stabby things, then I'd go with Dark Eldar.

Or, if you're into cosmetic surgery, have a hankering for genetic modification and you want to annihilate everything in your path, then go for space marines!

Above all though, just have lots of fun
