Well nothing is known right now but we can speculate.
Neander is interesting. Neanderthals were named after the Neander valley where they were discovered, with itself was named after a man whos name was translated from Neumann, meaning New Man. Could be the sensei?
Felinid is the branch of species on the evolutionary tree which contains felines. The latin name beside it translates to hairy people.

I'd throw Longshanks in as a tall and thin abhuman since to my knowledge the word is used as an insult for a similar build person.
And as an out there suggestion perhaps Troths as some kind of troll abhuman, or a half pig (as in eating out of a trough) but those are random guesses.

So...trolls, cavemen, and catgirls...no idea what longshanks or pelagers are supposed to look like though...this is starting to look like one big joke.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

Longshanks just means tall. It's a medieval term. It is not an insult, just a discription. Edward I was known as Edward Longshanks.

Khajiit in space? Hmm I would have thought beastmen covered that, though then again beatsmen are more like goats and cows
Pelagers has Ocean in their latin name. Space Fishmen?
Long shanks can easily be giants or something. Troths does sound like trolls, but how can they be at all human/working for the imperium?

The Pelagars are probably people with some minor aquatic adaptations. Like larger lung capacity, flatter appendeges(big feet), maybe a 3rd eyelid...
Felinids might have fur, night vision, maybe claws. yeah, Khajiit in space.
Longshanks could be some sort of Giant sub-species. Maybe 10ft human people with a stable genepool(so not Gigantisim like we have today) Just humans in XXXXL size.
Troths could be a reference to some sort of Troll-esk ability. Probably a natural ability to heal wounds quickly. So just humans with rapid cell regeneration.

Troths is probably the scientific name or whatever for Ogryn since it sounds like troll. Either that or they are Super Ogryn. Standing 12 feet tall, and weighing 6 tons they have the intelligence of a 3 year old (while Ogryn are up to 3 meters tall, and are equated to 8 year olds in intelligence). That means the IG might someday get hilarious MCs in the form of trolls. Longshanks are probably Englishmen that have a habit of invading Scotland or something like skinny, not slowed Ogryn, so tall and slender instead of tall and bulky. Felinids are cat girls, or cat people how catlike we don't know, they could just have cat ears, they could be covered in hair with cat like snouts and human ears.

No, Ogryn are mentioned seperately in this same piece of fluff. There is a clear differentiation.

I would think the Ad Mech is more of a Steampunk Religious Techocracy then anything related to Frankenstein. Thats more Dark Eldar Homunculous turf.

Pelagers is just a reference to the long-running in-joke about "Codex: Fishmen".
Felinids: ANY of the various "catmen" from SF sources, whether they be the Kzinti from Larry Niven's Ringworld universe, the Kilrathi from Wing Commander, or something else.
Neandors are just Rugby union supporters and players. Like Orks are the followers of the "round ball sport".

Before people get too excited its worth noting that the only reference is to a very minor abhuman race living on only the one planet in the Imperium.

True, but that won't stop anyone from making their own armies since its an official piece of fluff.
