I was just looking over the new book a while and I've had this nagging thing pulling at me. pg 31, "If less than 25% of the unit's models are still alive, then the Leadership test can only be passed with an Insane Heroism result of double 1." Is it just me or is this a little steep? I mean, basically, it is impossible (1 in 36 chance) to regroup if your unit is less than 25% capacity. Is this how it always was? I was wondering how this effects space marines, "I don't have the dex next to me and I'm tired and stupid atm. What about stubborn non combat tactic space marines? Thanks much!

Before it was completely impossible to regroup at less than 50%, so it's a lot more forgiving.
And Space Marines get "And They Shall Know No Fear", which in 6th got a HUGE buff.

Well, it can be mitigated by having an independent character in there, which allows you to test for regrouping normally even below 25%.

Also, in 5th it was below 50% and no chance of regrouping if enemies were near above 50%. For non-marine armies, this is a massive buff.

I suppose the reason I never thought about this rule was because I played space marines, so I think I'll count myself lucky again haha.

Moreover, regrouping was impossible when the enemy was within 6''. This restriction has been dropped.

Especially as the rule about having an enemy within 6" is gone.

Vanilla marines can now fall back, regroup and do whatever they want with no real drawback. Go combat tactics!

Well, shooty units deployed close to the board edge will hardly be affected by the new rule. If the unit falls back, the distance 2D6'' will generally suffice to reach the board edge.

Heck, lootas are great now and still worth it.
Even if they move and take snap shots, they are only losing 50% of their hits.
