Question: can Mephy trade out his 3 powers?

And can Njal trade out ALL the powers he knows?

No problem.

Njal is Mastery level 2. So 2 powers according to the BRB.

Mephiston is Mastery level 3. So 3 powers according to the BRB.

Both FAQs tell you that you can (page 2 of AB, page 1 for SW). Both FAQs also specifically tell you what Mastery level each of them is.

bigbaboon, sadly, Mephy only gets 2 powers per the FAQ if you use rulebook powers, despite being ML3.

Nope. We all wish we could do this, but the phrasing's the same in every FAQ. If you want to use the rulebook powers, you have to replace all your regular codex powers.

Note this is for that model, though, so you could have one Terivigon swap and another Tervi keep his codex powers.

Njal knows 6 powers but can only cast two a turn (move and shooting phase) so he is power level 2 and can swap SW powers for two from the book.

Eldrad knows 5 powers and can trade them in for 4.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Yep, and he gets 4 according to the FAQ's

They immediately began performing much better.

Besides (for me at last) the few time Eldrad (or any of my Farseers) have suffered Perils their ghosthelms have negated it (which now have become that much more important with no invuln saves on perils).
