Well, I figured it would be a good idea to post here, I have been on Dakka for 'bout a month now.

I started playing WFB 3rd edition in 1987, and then much to my surprise and delight GW was kind enough to bring out 40k!

I have been playing both off and on since then, as well as Space Hulk and Epic. I play Zoats (Tyranids these days, I keep building out with Nid models), Space Marines (vanilla now, since I started painting them before individual chapters became available), and Eldar. In WFB, I play Dwarves, and in Epic I play Imperial Guard.

I greatly enjoying bringing the old models to the FLGS, and it's fun to teach the kids something about the history of the game. I am surprised by the degree to which they take the time to listen, a patient bunch I must say!

I am now looking to make new additions to all three armies as we see how sixth edition plays out, and perhaps to even roll the marines and the Eldar together once in a while.

It's a pleasure to find such an excellent forum, I wish I had looked years ago!

Cheers,

V
